I started my last AF (full on bleeding) around 7pm on Oct 24th. Would I count that as day one or wait and count Oct 25th as day one. I had spotting all day Saturday, but not true flow til that evening.

I am always confused about when to start counting the days. I always spot at least a day or so before the flow begins.

Ugh, why is this so complicated? I got pg with both my boys (12 and 10) on one try... and I knew nothing about ovulation, temps, etc. Age must really factor in on conception.

Count the day you started flowing as day 1. That's what I've always been told at least.

Then by that date, AF should arrive today She isn't here yet, though I am cramping a bit... no spotting which I usually do prior to AF.

That should mean good things, but I have POAS (internet cheapies) for the last 2 days, even first thing this morning and not even a hint of a line...

You are only 33 years old, I wouldn't worry about your age much. It is frustrating, but hang in there, your time will come soon! And if AF stays away maybe sooner than you think. I threw away all of my internet cheapie tests I had because they are not that reliable and frustrated me to no end. I hope you get your BFP!

I always counted the day of flow and CD 1 regardless of the time until just recently. My RE says that anything that starts after 5pm shouldn't be counted as CD1 until the next day. I think it's mostly for testing purposes and scheduling procedures and such, but I figure if that is what I need to do in the future, I might as well start now.

Good Question! And Stephanie thanks for telling us what you Dr told you... I would have counted it as CD1... So anything after 5pm should be counted for the next day... Good to know!
