The 4th quarter cycle group had some interesting amusings on TTC around the Holidays, when you have a house full of family or you are staying at family's house.

So I thought this might be a fun, distracting thread for us - especially those of us in the TWW that need distractions!

What are some suggestions, ideas, etc on bd and not getting "caught" with a house full of guests?

1) If I am at my own house, not so hard. Just use pillows and avoid the "squeeky" part of the bed - and why is that my new mattress has that creak in the exact same spot as my old one did even thought the whole frame and box spring was replaced?

2) My parent's house is a little different story - we have always taken showers together there, just for this purpose, but it is not optimal for ttc, AND my mom uses Navy sheets on my bed there, so I guess turn the fan on in the room and be very quiet, on top of the covers. If there are better ideas - please fill me in.....

We don't usually stay at my in-laws, since they are in the same town as my parents. Now my sisters - all is fair in love and ttc - they have BOTH utilized my spare bed and I would be happy to return the favor besides - when I get together with my sisters - alcohol is usually involved and no one notices anyway........

What about the rest of you?

We don't have to worry about traving... We just have to worry about not being to exhausted... But Good luck to you all that do have to travel! I hope you all catch that traveling eggie!!!!

Love the plan(s), sounds like you got it all worked out. About the shower part, just throw the shower on and bring some extra towels in and try to get comfy on the floor or on the toilet cover (love the toilet one, Im a pro!)

As for me, no one stays at my house, and I dont stay at anyones house either, thank God! But I will be O'ing tongiht or tomorrow this cycle and for Dec, it will be before the holidays again, thank god!

We will be staying at my ILs for a week during Dec and I am already plotting if it is during my fertile time. The only thing I can think of is to make a palatte on the floor and that way we don't have to worry about a squeeking bed. Especially since this bedroom is located about 5 feet from his parents bedroom door.

His mother is very nosey so I am actually trying to determine where I can hide my OPK sticks and pregnancy testing sticks as well. (yes the woman would go through my bags to "help organize" <rolls eyes>)
