What are you ladies wearing on Thanksgiving? I just spent the last few hours looking online and could not find "the perfect dress"... I am going to my BF's parents house and I have met them before and they are very casual people, but any reason to dress up is great for me!
Also, what do you think of this dress for New Years Eve? HONESTY Please... dont say oh that is nice if you think it is horrible!

Are we allowed OT subjects like this in here?

I love that dress! OF course, I never go anywhere that would justify buying that, but it's gorgeous!

OMG!!! I am in love with that dress...I want it! Red is always my favorite. You will look sexxxxxxxy in that!
Thanksgiving is really casual...totally a jeans and t-shirt kind of day...especially when my mom and I do all the cooking.

Thanks girls, I think I am going to order the dress. I am not going anywhere fancy that I know of but I love to dress up. New Years Eve is always a good time to play princess dress up because you can go anywhere and fit in.

Missy - the dress is SMOKING HOT! I love the back of it.
My family is def the t-shirt and jean kind of group. Christmas I may dress up a little, but I always get such grief for wearing a dress when everyone else wants to be in sweats.
I do understand you - I love to dress up and feel pretty.
Kat.

Oh Kat, I don't care at all if those around me are in T-shirts and sweats and flipflops!! I just like to dress up. In fact, I am in sweats now! It is just fun for me to get all dressed up. I guess everyone is used to it with me and they don't think differently.
Last year on New Years Eve I got all dresssed up and the couple we went out with were dressed down. It didn't make a difference to me at all.
I am having life reversal. Growing up I was such a tomboy with my levi or jordash jeans and concert t-shirts. Never wore make up and always had my hair pulled back. Now I own more make up than a department store, have tons of dresses and shoes.

I will be in my PJ"s.. Since I am cooking for 12 people.. I will be rolling out of bead and cooking till everyone comes at 2. They will be lucky if I put a bra on (no, I will put a bra on... when the first people pull in the drive way... HAHAHHAHA)

Oh Kary, you are so funny!!
So Corey (my oldest son) and I went to the mall tonight and we bought a dress for new years. I had to order it but it is the most beautiful princess dress!!! It is similar to the one I found on ebay except has more layers and more glitter and is so princess beautiful! I got all giddy school girl like and bought a tierra to go with the dress! It is the kind of dress you put on and say WOW! Even my son was like mom you look like a beautiful princess.
It will arrive in about a week or so, I will definately post pictures! I am so excited, I felt so beautiful in the dress!

Love the fact that you can dress up and feel like a princess. We rarely go anywhere on New Years... I usually wear my nicest jeans and a cute top, but I haven't gotten to dress up like a "princess" since I was in my friends wedding. Was hoping for a cruise on Spring Break so that we can dress up and feel like grown ups, lol... but now I just want to be big pregnant fat for spring break!!

Diana, my BF loves to go out and socialize so I am sure we will end up somewhere. And if not, I am going to bring in the New Year with my tierra and beautiful red dress.
I hope you are big and fat and pregnant for spring break. If so, don't fret - there are tons of super cute maternity dresses out there that are so cute! It is nothing like when I had the boys. We lived in sweats and big T-Shirts.
Look at these cute maternity clothes:

I think it's gorgeous!!! I wish I could get dressed up like that for a night!
For Thanksgiving...well...since I'm pregnant until my D&C tomorrow...my goal is to NOT WEAR MATERNITY CLOTHES. I have known about the loss of my baby since Monday. I have been wearing maternity clothes since then. I've also lost a few pounds.
If I can wear my skinny jeans (I was skinny before the pregnancy and gained 7 pounds) and my cute low cut black sweater and NOT look fat...I will be freakin THRILLED.
My belly is going down already. I think I can do it.
