I'm 12 days post D&C. Bleeding stopped 2 days ago. I took a test on day 7 and got a BFP.. then on day 10 and got a faint line. I imagine this shows my levels are dropping... but I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up for ovulating anytime soon? I SO want to be TTC. My head is going around in circles!!!
I got my BFN today!!! 14 days post D&C.. last tested 4 days ago and got a faint line. Do you think I could have O'd yesterday or is that impossible?

Have you had a quantitive beta testing? They should monitor your hcg levels going down post m/c. It's more than likely hcg still left in your system from the pregnancy you just lost, so, I would check in with your doc either way. Don't rely on pregnancy tests too much you just had a loss and it can take your levels a while to zero out.
It's very rare a woman ovulates just after a loss, I did, but I was told what a medical anomoly I was. It usually is *at least* 2wks post loss.... your levels have to zero first.

I'm in the UK and they don't do follow up appointments... they told me to take a pregnancy test after the bleeding had stopped. If I'm still getting a BFP 14 days post D&C (Wednesday) I will phone the Docs.. although my Docs are awful and won't be at all bothered - I doubt they'll give me an appointment!!
It's just the fact that on day 7 it was a very STRONG BFP and 3 days later I got a faint one.. makes me think (hope!) my levels are dropping??
I'm kind of treating this "cycle" as starting on the day of my D&C, so normally I'd be ovulating on CD14, which is Wednesday. But if I'm still getting BFP's Wednesday.. ugh I can't even think about it.
I'm hoping for a miracle.

If you still have hcg registering on a hpt, than you probably wont "o" for a few more weeks. Once you recieve a very negative hpt, than you "may" O within 2wks, but after a d&c its hard to gage. The d&c strips your uterine lining so thin, that the body is producing alot of extra hormones to repair this. Your "O" is usually delayed at least a cycle due to this. Although like Clena said, there are the few rare people who do. I pray your cycles show you no delay and your on track to ttc very soon.

I think I've been Googling tooooo much really got my hopes up of getting pg before my period. I really want to test again to see if it's a BFN but I feel like I'm turning into a POAS addict... !! And I just know I'll still be getting a pos.. waiting is so hard.

I had a d&c with negative hpt 12 days after (that was when I tested...I'm not sure when they actually went down) and I then ovulated on day 13, so it can happen once your levels zero out. I hope you get a BFP soon!

Just to let you know, I had the d&c in April as well. My levels were over 100,000 when the procedure was done. 2wks later I got a negative on the hpt. I did recieve a positve opk within two days of that negative hpt, but as my dr. explained, the hormones were all out of wack and could not see any follicels on the u/s at all. I would start opks as soon as you get a negative hpt though, just keep recording them through out your cylce. Dont be surprised though when you see two sets of +'s on the opks, as I have seen women on here have the same thing happen to them as well. I would bd when/if you see a +opk, but dont stop recording them for the month, unless your charting your bbt and have a confirmed o.

I've never charted before.. I've always tried to stay away from it as I think I would get obsessed and go insane. So everything here is just kind of "wait and see" ...
Thanks for your supportive comments... I just need the next few weeks to fly by now

Nothing is impossible. Can you normally tell when it's O time? Maybe you can get some OPK and start charting. If the test is very faint, then your levels are probably very low and you should start getting back to your usual cycle. Sometimes you may not O right after a m/c, but I know plenty of women who did get pregnant before their first AF showed up. Good luck and so sorry for your loss!

I know this is going to sound crazy.. BUT. I *think* I ovulated today!! I'm not 100% sure. I seem to get strong cramps that start in my lower abdomen, then into my back and up to my ribs.. I've always thought it was me ovulating (as it happens around cd14/15) but never thought I'd feel it that significantly.
Anyway, I felt it today, I had the cramps for about half an hour, then it eased off. so I'm HOPING I'm right - although it could just be me hoping a little too much. Today is day 13 post D&C, so even in normal terms this would be "early" but ahh... I don't know.
Please keep your fingers crossed for me - if only that I stay sane in the next few weeks!!
Oh Trish!! Congrats btw!! Please send some sticky dust my way...!!

I've just bought some O tests.. they will be here in 2-3 days.. so, does a 2nd line mean I'm ovulating, or is it more complicated than that?
