I posted before that this is my first cycle since the birth of my baby...I'm now on cycle day 16..I've been taking OPK's since Cycle day 8 and still haven't had a positive...A couple of them have been darker, then the next time I test the line is almost gone...I took one again today at 2pm and the line was much darker than the one I had taken early in the day...I was just wondering if anyone has ovulated late on their first cycle? I've never been this late of an ovulater...I'm not sure if i'm just not going to ovulate or what, but it's really frustrating.

I'm 21 days post d&c and I'm still not entirely sure if I've O'd... I was really surprised, as I'm usually regular. I've had a darker line on one test a few days ago.. but it wasn't darker or ALL as dark as the control line so who knows. It's frustrating not having the answer.. I'm finding that one out.
Hope it happens soon

After my d/c in Feb.... I didn't get a + OPK untill 5 days after my normal day that I would have a +.... After my last m/c in Sept. I went to the Dr for an U/S after cd3 blood work... I had a + opk.. but I never released an egg... I had Follies that were not big enough to release an egg.... So with that being said... Every body is different.. You MAY or MAYNOT release an egg... You can still get your Temp shift, a + opk.. and not release an egg. It sucks.. it is frustrating... BUT than you have the ladies.. who DO Ovulate after a M/C or D/C... So it is a toss up.. HUGS for what you are going through.. I hope you are one that releases an egg.. and you get your BFP!! HUGS!!

It can take up to 3 months for your cycle to regulate on average from what the majority of OB/GYN's say.
I know my first cycle post-m/c I actually O'd days after losing my baby, but THEN the cycle after that I didn't O until around CD22 or so which was my 1st +opk. Then the cycles after that were irregular too. So it's different for everybody, but not unusual what you're going thru

We had our m/c 9 months ago and my cycles got shorter, then we had a second D&C in Aug. I ovulated late last cycle which was cycle number three. But that put me more in line with my pre m/c cycle. So really there is no way to know and I know how much that sucks. I wish you lots of luck and . I hope you ovulate soon.

thanks everyone...I have taken another OPK and it's about half the color as the test line...I hope that means something...My OB actually told me to wait 6 months to TTC again, but I can't wait....I hate all this TTC stuff, I just wish it was so much easier.

Megan do you take them between 2-8pm? Your LH surges in the AM, but doesn't show up until about 2pm or so... so they suggest to test between 2-8 or even 2-11pm.
Also, have you been drinking allot of water before the times you've been testing because that can dilute your urine and the LH in it making the testing somewhat inaccurate. Like a hpt it can give you a false - if your urine is too diluted.
I hope this helps a little... hang in there it will get better, meanwhile we are here to answer and help you in any way!

I've been taking one at around 11am, one at 2pm (that was the darkest yesterday) and one at around 7pm...No I didn't drink alot before hand, and I had actually hadn't gone to the bathroom in a few hours...I'm going to just keep testing till I see something...If not, I guess i'll just move on to another cycle.
