I'm sure this has been asked here before, but I'll do it again!

So, I miscarried a few weeks ago and I've been going in to get my HCG levels checked every week. The nurse called me back today and said that my levels are at 3 and I don't need to come in anymore. I was just curious about ovulating when you still have HCG in your system. Is it possible? I am having ovulation symptoms right now, but I don't know if your body will even release an egg if it detects HCG.

We're not trying this cycle, but I'd still like to know if I could really be ovulating or if it's in my imagination.

I am so sorry for your loss... But with levels that low... you should be at 0 anytime .. You might even be there now. As for Ovulating.. you can O anytime after your numbers reach 0... most likely in 2 weeks.. Your cycles can be a little screwy... and might take a few months to return to normal... If you have any questions please ask... and please stick around untill you are ready to TTCAL.. You are welcomed to jump in.. HUGS

After my loss, I was getting my HCG monitored weekly because it took longer than usual to drop. My Dr. said I wouldn't ovulate until after my HCG was at baseline (which he considered to be less than 2) or I might not ovulate at all and just get my period. He was wrong, and I did ovulate when my HCG was still 7 (got positive OPKs before a temp rise, and AF came at my normal LP length). So if you feel like you might be ovulating, you very well could be.
