Well I had my U/S this morning.. I am on CD13, 4 days since my last pill. I have two follies.. one on each side.. Lt is measuring 20, Rt is measuring 19. My doctor seemed happy with those numbers.. Saying I will prob Ovulate tomorrow.. So I came home this morning (I work night shift so I had been up since noon on Wed) Took an OPK.... stark white.... So I don't think I will Ovulate tomorrow... since I have not had a +opk?? Correct?? Or does the Clomid affect the surge differently?
He also wants me to start the Progesterone on Tuesday.... What I don't get a + opk??? And I thought they had to be 22-24... (I think I remember reading that on Clomid your follies grow 2 a day?? Correct? So is he thinking that the 20 will become 22 tomorrow and I will ovulate???)
I am so sorry for so many questions..

If your doctor seemed happy, he's supposed to be the expert so trust in him Kary... it sounds like things are progressing to plan according to him so keep on keeping on lady Ooooo you have to keep us posted!!!

In my research this morning, I did see something stating that Clomid DOES affect OPK's. The site didn't elaborate though...just said to talk to your doctor about OPKs and Clomid.

I don't know too much about this but the little bit of research I have done only says that you can get a false positive it you test with an OPK too early. You are not testing too early so you should be fine. I have also read that clomid can make you ovulate later than CD 14 so just keep testing and BDing until you know you have ovulated.
Did you doctor say anthing about OPK's?
You still have 4 days until he said the start the progesterone... if you have not gotten a positive by Monday I would call him and maybe they can do another scan to make sure you have ovulated before you start the progesterone.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Hey Kary I have been taking Clomid 3 months now and yes it can effect OPK's... some women get positive OPKs even when they are not ovulating on Clomid and some people don't get one at all and some still work while ovulating. My doctor told me if I used them to not go 100% by them. Hugs sounds like your going to ovulate... praying you catch that eggie

Yay for 2 big follies. As long as the follie is at least 18mm it is considered mature, so no worry there. Yours are a great size. I think once they reach 24 they are no longer good IMO anyway. They are supposed to grow on an average of 2mm a day. Not sure about O'ing and clomid. I'm surprised the dr. doesn't want you to do a hcg trigger. that would guarantee you O in a day or two. Good luck catching that 1 or 2 eggies!!! I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that this is it for you!!!!!!

I don't know about clomid, but even on fermara I didn't get +'ve OPKs...I thought I had read that you aren't supposed to start Progesterone until after you have O'd...so as someone above said, I would not start taking it until you have O'd...if you haven't gotten a positive by Monday I would definitely call your dr. I am excited that the doc is excited about your follies!! Hope you catch one of those eggies!!!

Hey Kary, just jumping in for the moment, but make sure you follow up with the dr. by tomorrow if your opk is still negative. Trish is right, he probably should of given you a trigger with follies that size. Unless...........he took a blood test from you this am and they see you are about to surge on your own and are not worried about letting the eggs get too big. Ask about this though, would hate to see two nice size follies get over developed because your body did not surge on its own. This has been my issue, mostly. Good luck!

kary, i'm confused about the progesterone. I'm on progesterone supplements and my DR. is adiment about me NOT starting the progesterone till after I have confirmation of O - usually 3dpo after getting crosshairs from FF. The reason being is that progesterone is the hormone that is released by the body AFTER ovulation has occured. Progesterone begins to rise, which is why the bodys temps rise and that is an indication to the body that you have O'd. The body will not release an egg when progesterone is rising, as it believes you have already O'd. If you do not have a positive opk, you might O a bit later. I O'd later on clomid, but I always got a pos opk. don't want to confuse you, but thought i'd let you know. Im glad your follies are growing well!!!
