what time of day I take prenatals? I started taking them this week (I should have started earlier), but I've been taking them every night at around midnight before I go to bed. Should I take them in the morning or at lunch time instead? Does it really matter?
I'm thinking about taking baby aspirin, too, but I've heard that it can cause bleeding. It would totally freak me out if I were to become pregnant and start spotting...

As long as the prenatal vitamins don't make you feel sick, you can take them whenever. Some people feel nauseated with them and have to take them with food. I take them right after breakfast usually. I asked my OB and he said whwnever is fine. Is there a reason you need to take the aspirin? If you don't have a clotting problem then I don't think you'd need to take it. It will thin your blood so bleeding could happen.

Thanks, Jacque. I don't THINK that I have a clotting problem, but I really don't know why I had my loss. Would the clotting problem be the only reason to take baby aspirin?

I agree.. it really shouldn't matter when you take them as long as you are taking them

Prenantals can be taken at any time... As for the Aspirin.. I had read that they can help "increase the quality of the eggs" Blah blah.. so I asked my Dr.. and he said NO it does nothing for that.. they really have NOTHING to increase the quality. That was after my second m/c. Than after my third, they finally did the bloodwork.. and showed that I have the MTHFR mutation.. that ""could"" be causing the m/c. so I was started on the baby Aspirin... Thier is risks in taking any medications.. For Aspirin.. it can cause bleeding, ulcers, among other things.. Talk to your dr before starting anything on your own...
I know how it is to "WANT to do something" You feel like if you are doing something.. it might not happen again.. This is a crappy place to be.. I am so sorry that thier is not a miracle cure for us. And something as little as taking a baby aspirin will "fix" us... HUGS...

Thanks, everyone! Kary, that's exactly it - the want to "do something." I think I'll skip the baby aspirin for now, and just hope that the next baby sticks..

I take them first thing in the morning because some vitamins can "increase energy" depending on what kind you take. So that's what I do, not to mention your metabolism is starting for the day and can utilize them the best then.
Used to work for a health & natural foods store...

Oh my... Maybe THAT'S what's been wrong with me! I can't believe I didn't even think of it! This past week I haven't been able to sleep. I go to bed with all kinds of energy. Last night DH was trying to sleep and I kept talking and messing around and poking him and I wouldn't let him sleep and he asked me why I was so hyper and I had no idea why I was.
I guess taking vitamins right before I go to bed is not a good idea.. Going to change that RIGHT NOW!

i take them in the morning - for me it's easier to remember that way. Also, because i'm on the same schedule with them that i was when i was preggo with my last angle and if i didn't take them with breakfast they made me sick. I think whatever works for you....and if you have any side affects from them but other than that i don't think it really matters
