Dh and I decided not to wait and started trying right away, however it took us almost a year to succeed again. So I was curious how long everyone else waited.

I found out I'd lost my baby 4 weeks ago today, and had my D&C 3 weeks and 2 days ago... we've pretty much been trying again since I stopped bleeding. For the first week or so I had no idea what I wanted but as soon as my bleeding stopped I knew, and I'm feeling desperate already!!
Congrats btw!! H&H 9 months!!!

I thought about it while I was still pregnant, I knew in my mind I wanted to try right away...We've been having unprotected sex since 10 days post partum (when the bleeding stopped)....I Think I made the decision like 4 weeks after to actually TTC...I told myself that i wouldn't try hard and i'd just let it happen if it happens, but that's not how it's going.

We started NTNP right away... It was a decision the 2 of us made. My midwife suggested waiting 1 cycle but said it didn't really matter.

We have not waited at all... after every loss... we started trying right away again. We had one cycle that I went on B/C pills due to insurance... if I got pregnant that cycle we would not have been covered with Short term disability.. But out of the last 17 months... we have never waited... My OB.. told us to continue to try.. That we didn't have to wait.

We started trying again as soon as we had the ok from the doctors (I contracted a virus while pregnant that was the cause of death to my son so I wanted to make sure that wasn't going to be a problem again before getting pregnant). We got the go ahead from the doctors about 2 months post-partum and have been trying ever since (although we weren't really preventing even before the doctors gave us the ok).

We started trying right away, the OB said there was no good reason to wait so long as we were ok emotionally.

My midwife suggested 3 months before trying again. I'm too impatient of a person so we will be trying officially, currently I guess we are NTNP, the first of the year.

Didn't really wait after our first loss this summer, hence we got pg right away again... but that ended in a loss, not a natural one it was the dr's fault long story... we didn't so much wait after that either.... I had people telling me all sorts of things and really it's up to a person emotionally, also as long as there is no medical reason to wait then go for it.

Idk, seems more tend to TTC right away and not wait because for most of us it took some time to get pg in the first place.

We lost our baby 4 days ago, I'm still having a m/c right now and doctor advises to wait at least 2 normal cycles or 3 months. I cannot wait!! But I guess we will have to wait at least till February before we start NTNP.

since i had an early loss that didnt need a d&d, the doctor told me if i was ready i could try again right away, so we did... but i think i should have let myself have at least one cycle without trying or temping just to let my body get back to normal again... and heal emotionally...

My first loss was a surprise baby so it was a while before trying after him. After my second loss we waited three months. This was more for psychological reasons than physical. My third angel was conceived during our last cycle of trying before a planned break. (We had stated we would try through Oct and then stop due to our (at the time-upcoming) wedding.)

My D&C was two weeks ago and my OB was adament about me starting my period and THEN waiting two more cycles to TTC.

Which is fine, but I'm not telling DH to wear a condom. We're not 16 year olds in the backseat of some car. If I get pregnant before then, fine. I hope to get my period this month though so I can get normal and then when I chart I know what's going on. I wouldn't want to get pregnant this month because I wouldn't know when it began or anything. But we've not been together since the m/c and we're moving this week and through the next two weeks...so I just don't think it's even going to be an issue until after the 1st of the year.

If I really have to wait all that time, it'll be freakin February before we TTC. That's like ten years.

My doctor said it wouldn't hurt to try when I asked about 5 weeks after our (very recent) loss. So, we are about 2 weeks past that point and trying to think positive!
