is it possible to Ovulate but not get a pos OPK?

Today is cycle day 20, AF should be here next weekend (I think)...I started my OPK's on cycle day 8 the day after AF left...I never did get a pos OPK, but I got some that were kind of dark....I had spotting yesterday and the day before, very light and both times it didn't even last a full day...Today so far no sign of spotting...If it were AF coming it would just get heavier and not just stop like it has been....I'm having some slight cramping this morning too, so i'm hoping it's not AF coming...I was just wondering if it's possible I did O but never got a 100% positive OPK? We have been BDing so much in the last couple of weeks, even when the OPK's were not positive....I either want AF to come, or I want my body to start acting normal already.

It's definitely possible to O without getting a +OPK. OPKs only measure the LH surge. You can get a + and not ovulate too. The only way to confirm ovulation (without b/w) is by charting your temperature.

Hopefully you were BD'ing at the right time.

OH Meagan HUGS! It has only been a month since your loss... So a couple things could be happening. First off You could have Ovulated on one of the "darker" OPK days.. and just missed your surge. Second.. since it is only a month.. your body might be a little screwy and you didn't Ovulate. Or your cycle is so out of wack.. it will be a longer than normal cycle and you haven't Ovulated yet... Any of these are soo frustrating! And I am sorry you have to go through this.. HUGS!

thanks for the info...Yeah i'm sure my body is just screwy right now, and it's just so frustrating...I took an OPK today and it was alot lighter than ones I had a few days ago...So they did gradually get darker, and then lighter, they just weren't dark enough to be positive...I'm really not expecting to get pregnant the first cycle...I guess I just want things back to normal as soon as possible.

Well i took another OPK and it's now dark!!! (not positive)...I'm seriously going crazy! No spotting yet today ...I think I would of been fine if the line had been almost gone like it was with the last test I took, but now it's dark, darker than the darkest ones i've had...I don't think i'm ovulating though...I'm sure everyone is sick of me, but I have no one else to talk to since i'm not telling anyone we are TTC...I did buy a BBT just now and I think i'm going to start temping if anyone has any advice.

Click on my chart.. and sign up for FF up near the top it says "Join for free".... They have a free program.. so you don't have to pay for all the bells and whistles.. But they have great info! I was like this when I did OPK's. I didn't even think I was ever Oing but by my temps I obviously was. I started scrapping the OPK's the month I got pregnant.

OMG an hour after I took that OPK (That was darker) I took an IC test but then my niece came over so I went downstairs...I just came up to check it and there's either an Evap or a faint faint pos...I've never gotten an evap on an IC EVER and i've taken TONS of them...I can't tell if there's color or not, but next to the IC I took yesterday you can see the difference (Yesterday it was stark white)...I don't want to get my hopes up because it's probably an evap....I have some FRER too, but i'm too scared to take them...I think i'm going to wait.
