I found I was pregnant the day before thanksgiving. 6 days later I started bleeding. I knew right away, as that had never happened before. I was NTNP, and shocked to be pregnant...but I think now, what I thought was shock might have partly been my subconscious "knowing" something wasn't right. Do you know what I mean?

Anyway, we were really sad, it's my first loss, but I'm doing better now. It made us realize we didn't want to wait for #3, and we'd like to try to get pregnant. The day I started bleeding I had an U/s which showed nothing. I had a blood draw that same day and it was 11. I had another 2 days later but no results yet. The bleeding has been like my period with some small clots, and minor cramping.

What I wonder is...once I am bleeding, how soon can I expect to ovulate again? Will it be fairly soon, like with a normal period? I guess I could call my doctor, but I just don't want to. I don't know why, maybe because that makes it more clinical and I'd rather hear from someone who has experienced it. Thank you in advance! This is hard to talk about in person to my friends, especially when they haven't experienced it. And I have 6 pregnant friends so I don't even want to bring it up!

Hi! Like you, I have two kids and my third was a loss.

I just posted about this...my D&C was Nov 21 and I haven't started my period yet...most women start in about a month...I've been charting though and my temps are screwy all over the place...I think you can ovulate like 2 weeks after a miscarriage and be pregnant all over again right away (actually my sister did this) but I haven't had ANY CM whatsoever and like I said, my temps are like a game of Chutes and Ladders.

But I'm weird. Most people bleed again 28 days or so later. Good luck, and keep us posted!!!

I am so sorry for your loss... {{HUGS}} I am glad you found us, Welcome to the board.

As for your question... It is possiable to ovulate anytime after your levels reach 0. While yes the norm is 2 weeks (about 14 day).. It can be early or later. After my first m/c that was in Nov I was also like you about 4 1/2 weeks (that was a natural m/c) ... I had one cycle in Dec 28 days later.. and had my BFP on Jan 2, only to M/C again.. that pregnancy needed a d/e... it took me 35 days for AF to show... we starte TTC after my 2wk check up. It took us another 7 months before I concieved again... that was in the end of Aug... my levels never rised.. it took me over 5 weeks for my levels to reach 0... (I refused another d.c) I am now on my third cycle since my last loss... Last month.. I went in for a u/s to check my follies.. and see if I was Ovulating on my own.. and I had multiple follies.. but none that would release an egg..

With all this being said... after a m/c your cycles will be/can be messed up. You may ovulate right away... you may not. Every lady on here can give you thier personal experiance.. and you will get a different story every time. I wish I could give you a more difinative answer.. but it is not that easy.. It is frustrating.. and we are here when ever you need us, for questions, support, or just to vent.. having pregnant friends.. is to say least... hard. HUGS

My period started exactly 1 month to the date of the m/c. I am sorry to hear of your loss, and I hope things get back on track soon!
