I just needed to to share this with people I know who could commiserate.

DH has been coming down with - something (probably Upper Resp. Infec. or Bronchitis) - the last couple days. Monday - fine. Tuesday, starting to have sinus troubles and a slight cough. Wednesday - feeling worse. It's going into his chest, harder coughs, can't breathe...feel asleep last night sitting up. Thursday (today) - still feeling icky and gross.

Here's the stupid stuff - He continues to go to work and (so far) hasn't tried to go see a Dr. He doesn't get sick often, and when he does, it's ususally bad. Like, "shouldn't go to work for a couple days" bad. So, he keeps just going to work, feeling miserable, possibly getting the others sick.

I talked to him on the phone this morning. He's telling me how he's got himself set up to not infect any others (yea, right), blah blah blah...I say to him - Call the Dr and make an appt or go to Urgent Care! He answered "yes Dear" but it wasn't "sure, I will do it" it was the "Yes Dear" that says "I'll say whatever you want me to say to get you to stop bugging me, but I have no intentions to do what you suggested". I know you all know that one... I got so ticked off that I just said "I know you're sick, but "f" you. Do what you will" and I hung up.

He just drives me nuts when he's being this stubborn. I know when you're sick that sometimes we just want to be miserable (and sometimes bring those around us). He's being a martyr about work. I've tried to remind him that work WILL go on if he's not there for a few days. They WILL survive w/o him. And he has PLENTY of time to burn...

Ok. just needed to get that off my chest. so, what does your DH do that drives you nuts?

I hope he starts feeling better soon. Men are such babies when they get sick.

I agree! DH was very sick the week of my m/c well and the week before and week after, but anyway! He refused to go to the doctor! He said that his body would fight it off on its own. Even when we were in the ER for me, everyone asked him don't you think you should be seen? He didn't want it, just wanted to feel miserable! Hopefully your DH gets better much sooner!

My husband is the same, and will never go to a doctor. It's frustrating. Sorry!

MEN are the biggest babies, but they get this stubborn I don't go to the Dr ever attitude! Then when they're so miserably sick they wear us out!

UPDATE: DH DID go to the Dr today. I like to think my wisdom convinced him...it's probably because he's just tired of being miserable. It is bronchitis. (I knew it!) The only problem now: Dr's office did not call the scripts in to the pharmacy. :eyeroll: So, he might have to wait till tomorrow. He actually hasn't been too bad, after this morning. He's still going in to work tomorrow...whatever.

Thanks for your sympathy! lol
