I had my 6 week ultrasound today! It was a bit frustrating, to say the least. I went in with a full bladder and they did an abdominal u/s and of course saw nothing because it was too early. So then I had the vaginal one and the tech (who turned out to be a student) spent forever poking and prodding me...my cervix really took a beating LOL...and then she called in her instructor and they mumbled and zoomed and rechecked all the while completely ignoring me...mentioning "two" of them ...and then the only thing she would say (and she said it a couple of times! grrrr) is that I shouldn't be here this early because there's not much to see and I should have waited until I was 10-12 weeks. Apparently my explanation of 2 miscarriages and the fact that I needed to know what was going on wasn't good enough. So then the instructor left. And then the tech removed the wand and said "OK, you're done". Wait a minute! WTH? Excuse me...um, do ya think you could tell me what you saw?! Anyway, she finally showed me a pic and said I was measuring 6 weeks, I could see the sac & baby, with a heartbeat of 101-103!!!!! She told me 100 was good - anything below 80 was when they worried. Wooohooooo!!!!!!!!!!! And she showed me the 2nd spot they were looking at. It was just a black, empty circle next to the sac about 1/2 to 1/3 the size of the sac. She said she didn't know what it was...the Dr. would have to review it...it could be nothing or who knows what. Anyway, the tech sucked (and I didn't get a picture ) but I definitely got reassuring news. Now to get through the next few weeks...
