So, yesterday I used an IC and got a big ole negative that is still negative today. This morning, I used another IC and didn't see anything within the 5 min time frame. But, 10 minutes later - a definite line. I know this could definitely be an evap, so I'm not trying to get my hopes up... but I'm suppossed to start lovenox at a postive test, and I don't want to start too late, nor do I have any lovenox to waste if this isn't the real deal!
So question... I've never ever ever gotten an evap on an IC. Ever. I don't have the time to post a pic, but you'd see the line. Let's suppose this isn't an evap... should I see it darker tomorrow? Or do you think it'll still be too early and I won't be sure till Wed? What do I do?
Or just someone else tell me you've gotten IC evaps, and then I'll just call myself crazy. Thanks!
(FYI - I'm 10 DPO. AF is due Friday.)

Kristin - I have never used the IC, but I just wanted to say good luck and baby dust to you. I also LOVE your blog - it keeps me laughing, always! I can only imagine how much more entertaining it will be while you are pregnant.

If it was within 10 minutes, that is a POSITIVE... those things don't dry out that quick, so I'd say you have a +hpt.

I got like 4 evaps last week on IC tests, within the time frame, and then when it dried they were gone...They even showed up on pictures and looked very much like lines...I hope they aren't evaps for you!!! Good luck!!

I took some IC tests yesterday and could swear there was lines, then this morning I got a BFN, so I'm not at all certain about them right now. I really really hope you have a BFP and your chart is looking very hot!!!
This waiting is the worst.
Sending you tons of BFP dust...

It could be a positive. The test window on all my different IC's is 10 mins. I have never gotten an evap (i am telling myself my first one was yesterday becuase AF started a few hours later... not letting myself think it was #5). I was recently told that a line is a line... all tests are norotious for false negatives but when there is a line - its almost always positive.
Tomorrow MIGHT be darker but there is no guarantee - the concentration of urine makes a big difference and after reading your blog I would be leaning towards saying congrats! I won't get a head of myself but can't wait to see what happens in the next day or 2!

Sigh. You think I'd be veteran enough not to ask these questions anymore... and then to know better than to trust a test after 5 minutes!
Thanks for your input girls/calming me down. I'll KUP.

I used an IC at like 10 dpo with the pregnancy and I got a line that I swore looked like an evap so I didn't really think anything of it. I used a FRER 2 days later and it was positive! Is there anyway you can get a different kind of test to try tomorrow?

Oh Kristin I really hope this is a true BFP!!! I've never had any lines on the IC until I had quite a high anount of hcg in my system. The way it worked for me is that nothing showed up until it was dry like 10 minutes later. The only + in an IC I got was this pregnancy at 10dpo...and it was faint faint faint and only visible once it dried completely. I am keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that you get to join me in the Aug. DDC!!!!!!!

ok so i'll try to keep myself calm, but i can't wait for you to test again Kristin!! I know nothing about evaps (I only ever used FRERs and didn't run into evap issues) but it sounds really hopeful that yours is the real deal. At 10DPO you should not expect the lines to get significantly darker when you test again - so don't freak yourself out if they even look lighter (mine did for days after my first early +) but you should be able to get a positive on a digi soon (maybe even now!) so KUP when you test again my fingers are so crossed for you!

Kristen, I had several days of barely there lines before they started getting darker. And I mean barely visible. And they did not get significantly darker until about a week later. If you hold it up to the light can you see any color? With an evap, there should not be any color. I don't know...I'd go out and buy some good ones. I've had lots of luck with early testing with Answer Early...they were better than FRERs for me. I got a positive at 10dpo with Answer and the FRER was still negative. Bottom line.....test again woman!!! And we all need some pictures to help us obsess with you!

More faint faint squint your eyes lines.... I'm not convinced either way yet! But honestly.. the girls are back to their pregnancy size... so I'm hopeful! I'm sorry... I think it's to early for another test... and my husband is a cheap skate. Ugh. I need an infinate amount of ttc money! I also think part of me just wants to be SURE and not worry about having a chemical...
