I'm waiting for my cycles to start since having a d&c. Can I get some idea of if I'm ovulating by checkin cervical mucus. Didn't know if things get crazy after a d&c. We have never really tried to get pregnant. We've just NTNP for the last 9 or 10 years. I've always had pretty regular cycles and they were super regular the last few before conceived the baby that we lost. I'm about to go crazy since I don't have a real starting point in my cycle now. I feel even more impatient because we found out our baby died Nov 3rd, had a d&c on Nov 6th then I ended up needing another d&c Dec 4th. Looking back I'm thinking I may have been getting ready to cycle, just because of the break outs and a couple other things. Then after the 2nd d&c, I had no bleeding or real cramping until about 3 days later, then it was really like a period, so I of course want to believe that is was when it probably wasn't. I really want to be pregnant again but I also want to know what is going on with my body. So I realize I may be grasping at straws here. It's just so hard to sit and wait, I want to feel like I'm doing something...I guess me checking it can't hurt, at least make me feel like I'm doing something.

I am so sorry for your Loss.. Welcome to the board. After a m/c your cycles can be a little crazy.. you can watch your CM to give you clues.. Are you going to chart as in temping? Than can give you in idea of when you are going to ovulate... but since it will show a temp spike.. it will be AFTER you Ovulate.. (And even then you may not have released an egg) OPK's will show your are going to Ovulate in the following days.. so they are a good "Guide". I use Internet cheapies (IC). IC are very cheap compared to the ones in the stores.. I hope you BFP comes quickly! If you have more questions... don't hesitate to ask.. enough of us chart, temp, and OPK.. we should be able to answer.. or find the answer for you! HUGS!

I was thinking you needed to know where you are in your cycle to temp. but I guess no matter where it could give you some idea and again make you feel like you are doing something.

You should start at the begining... But it will take a few cycles to see what your body does!
Clink on other people charts.. it will give you an idea... I started temping half way through the cycle after my last m/c... When I felt... OK.. lets start this again. But you are right... It wont tell you a whole lot. Untill next cycle.. than you might see simular temps.. to match where you are now in your cycle.

Hey sweetie Sorry to see you over here I know how terrible d&c's are and the loss that you experienced Ugh.
Anyhow, I started temping in the middle of my cycle after my d&c and I was glad I did because I actually caught my o date! Plus it got me in the practice If you want I will give you a link to my post d&c chart to look at. The temping helped me way more then the cm or cp...I feel like I was taking charge of my fertility
Again, I am so sorry to see you here but I hope that charting will bring you some comfort!

Welcome to TTCAL and to charting (((HUGS))) I am so very sorry for all you have been through and especially having to endure 2 D&C's
I started charting a few days after my m/c and although I didn't fully understand what I was doing I found it to be very helpful in getting ready to start TTCing again. It all sounds like a lot to do with temp charting, but once you get started it's actually pretty easy. FF does most of the work, I just plug in some numbers and symptoms and that's it. There are plenty of girls here to check out your chart when you are confused about something, that can help a lot!!!

I started temping the day after my D&C. When you temp, you tend to analyze every single day. But it helps when you see the pattern over several days.
After my D&C my temps were up...then they went down...I called myself annovulatory...then they went up again...hello, I ovulated. We're not trying right now, but I know I'm ovulating. I ovulated on day 15, I'm usually a 9-11 day O-er...and I have had NO CM this month until AFTER I ovulated. Like NOW I have CM and I'm 9 DPO. Who needs CM at 9 DPO, that's just a waste.
I'd be happy anytime to look at your charts. Do you use fertility friend? Once you start temping it's easy. And we are all here to help!
I started charting again (after 7 years) in June in the middle of a cycle...my first REAL cycle was later. I changed since I was 28 LOL...but I figured it all out. You will, too. Go ahead and start temping tomorrow! Get some temps up on line and we can tell you what's going on. Then when you get your period, you may even have an idea of what will happen.
