When I was TTC #3 I NEVER tested. The time I tested was when I found out I was pregnant...I was 16 DPO and I usually have a temp drop at 16 DPO and start at 17 DPO...the only reason I tested was because I wanted to clean the cat litter...I shocked myself. I would NEVER HAVE TESTED EARLIER. I totally didn't think I had a chance.

I always WANT to test at 8 DPO-14 DPO (especially when I see a million BFPs) but I like to wait for my period (LOL is that totally weird) and my LP is 16 days long...if I see a BFN at 9 DPO I still have to wait a week, start my period, have my period, and wait to ovulate. That's a long time to be sad. I guess I'm like Charlie Bucket when he buys the candy car but doesn't tear it open...as long as there is a CHANCE I might be a winner, I'm still happy.

So when do you usually test? (Not that I haven't tested earlier in my life but this time around, with #4, Im' not testing until I get to 16 DPO with 16 high temps!!!) But you ladies sure make me want to =)

That's a GREAT way to look at it, and it makes me want to wait until AF is late to test. Why be sad for a whole week of BFNs when I could be excited and looking forward to testing that whole week instead?

Last two cycles I think I started testing at 10DPO. This cycle I tested once at 9 DPO and once at 13 DPO. I won't test again until 16 DPO unless AF shows before then.

I started testing at 9DPO this cycle, I had a 'hint' of a line and have been obsessed since then and taken way too many HPT's. I still do not have a clear answer If I could do over, I'd wait until 14 DPO at the earliest to save myself from all this insanity

I never test I always say that I will test when AF is late - but she never is! Plus, I will only test on the weekends so I don't have to go into work in a crappy mood.

I tested at 5 DPO and, of course, got a BFN! then I tested at 8DPO and saw a faint line. I had a really good second line at 13 DPO. So, next time I will wait until 14 DPO to test.

I was testing at 10 dpo and maybe sometimes earlier. The money I spent on HPT's was insane and I promised myself I wouldn't do it any more. This time around, I'm not having any HPT's or OPK's in the house and I mean it. I can't have that stress again.

I know what you mean. I spent sooo much money on those HPTs! I tested 3 times before I got a BFP, then I tested 8 times more just to make sure. I already bought 3 HPTs for my next PG, but i will try to wait as long as possible before testing.
