Well, I had my Implanon removed in March and we prevented until the end of July for our convenience.. then got lucky in our first month of TTC- got our BFP in September, lost our bean in November ..
I can't believe I was selfish enough to prevent for all that time, mainly for financial reasons... could kick myself now

The last time I was TTC, I was hoping it wouldn't take more than 3 months because the last time we were TTC it only took 3 months...I got pregnnat on my 3rd cycle...I really hope that it's not going to take any longer than 3 months this time because I have cancer treatment to still get, and I can't put it off for too long...I really would like to have a fall/winter baby because I already have tons of baby girl stuff that i'd like to use.

I got married in July and we started TTC right away (although I ovulated right before the wedding so we didn't TTC until August). I seriously expected to be TTC for about a year before getting pregnant. It happened cycle #2.
Now that I have gotten pregnant that fast once...I think I'll be there again by...I'd say I'd be shocked if I wasn't pregnant by June. I think it'll happen fast again. Maybe not two months...but I don't think it'll take a year.
But who knows. The first two times I got pregnant I was in my mid twenties and it took 4 and 5 cycles!!!

With DD, I had NO IDEA how long it would take. DH was leaving for Afghanistan 10 days after our wedding, so we started TTC about 2 months before our wedding. We actually conceived on cycle #2.
With my loss, I thought it was really easy the first time, so it should happen again right away. Conceived on cycle #2 again.
With this current pregnancy, I had no idea what to expect again because of my loss. I actually thought that maybe I would never get pregnant again, but... cycle #2 was our lucky number again! Now I'm just hoping beyond all hope that this one sticks!

I had my IUD taken out in Jan of this year. Planned on trying for one year only. I was already 38 and did not want to try past my 39th. birthday. This year brought unbelievable heartache. I got pg in Jan, right after the removal and had a chemical. Then conceived again the next month, only to loose my baby after we saw the heartbeat at 9.5wks. Then,,,,,,,,,got pg again in Sept. with a tubal pregnancy. After lots of tests with the RE, determined that my eggs are poor quality/low quantity. I was planning on having my IUD put back in, in Jan of 2010. But..............I conceived the day before my 39th birthday, Dec. 15. My Bday is Dec. 16. What a miracle, what a gift from god.
Wheather or not this baby makes it, it just proves to me that the Lord has the last word in all we do. Have faith.

Well I didn't think it would take almost 2yrs as of now, but I also didn't really think it would happen right away either. IDK, we didn't really have a plan. Ya of course we hoped sooner than later, but then fibro took over the light for a while. Altho we kept TTC I kept thinking it was probably a blessing so that none of the meds they used me as guinea pig for would be too good for baby.
not sure if this really answers the question lol

We had been preventing for over 10 years. I stopped taking BCP in Feb '09. We started actually trying in Oct and got pg on the first shot. Then lost it earlier this month.
After I stopped my BCP, we talked about when we should have a baby. It was more fantasy talk. We thought a April or May baby...so I get pg in July or so. Well, July, August, then Sept came and went. Now...I don't care when I have the kid. I just want to get pg!

Can I just butt in here to say... I was amazed to see so many people back when we first started TTC, using the TTC/NTNP/AIP boards who had 4-6 month old babies! I thought "Are they CRAZY?" And I can't believe how my attitude has changed in just a few months.. when we finally get our BFP.. and I give birth, we won't be preventing until after our 3rd, if that makes sense.

We conceived on our honeymoon and I was so ecstatic. Then we lost our baby and have been trying since then with no luck. My "goal" was to be pregnant again before my first EDD...but my due date was Jan 31st and it's not looking so good.

Well, we aren't actively TTC, more NTNP -- I say that because I don't chart or anything. We don't pull out or anything though either. It's an all in method. I just don't know *exactly* when I'm ovulating or anything of that nature.
I honestly didn't think it would take long because I know how fertile my family is. There is absolutely no history of miscarriage or loss in my family.
And I was right, it didn't take long. One cycle actually. But, it led to a miscarriage And now I'm paranoid about having another one. Although my family has no history of it, my fiance Michael, has gotten previous girlfriends pregnant before and they all ended in miscarriages. So - I'm nervous. But, we shall see! Hopefully it won't take long again! Especially since we're hoping for a fall 2010 baby and a spring 2011 wedding!

I didn't have a time frame, but I thought it'd be quick...and it was the first time. I sure didn't expect to be sitting here with both empty arms and an empty womb more than two years later.
