Ok so I've read a lot about feeling your cervix and seeing if its high, low, closed, open. My question is how do you know that what you are feeling is your cervix? I tried to feel mine today and what I think I felt was low and somewhat hard??? Not terribly hard but it did seem low since I couldn't ~tmi warning~ get my finger very far up. Any thoughts or advice so I can be a CP pro? Lol Thanks!

It took me until my third pregnancy to figure it out. I can't even explain it. But that's my MAIN sign right now that I use to know when I'm going to O since my CM sucks and OPKs don't work. If it's low, it's LOW. The rest of...uh inside there...is always mooshy...when your cervix is low and firm it definately has a different texture.

The only time I have to go way up is when I'm ready to O and then it's bumpy like and smooshy as opposed to smooth and firm and low.

But like I said, this took years to figure out.

Your cervix should feel round (excuse the TMI, but kinda like to top of a penis, just moist). Once you find it you'll know for sure. It can also move during the day, so it's recommended to check the position at around the same time each day. It can also go from hard/firm to almost mushy during your cycle. Since I've started checking I'm amazed at what goes on in there lol... I really never knew all that before.
When it is high, it can very hard to check too.

Ok so I googled the question for maybe some more ideas and such. Well I read on answers.com that after giving birth and even with a m/c that your cervix can feel slightly open. So because I have no idea what a high vs low cervix feels like I'm not sure where mine was but I'm 95% sure I felt it. Now I semi know what I'm doing. Hopefully this helps me.
