So what's everyone doing to ring in the year we all get pregnant?

We're having a party...I like to have the parties every year, let everyone bring their kids and that way I don't have to drive...but once my friends and family got bigger houses than I did, they stopped coming and we started having to go elsewhere. Usually my sister would have it so the kids could still come. I haven't had an adult New Years EVER. I was dating my ex husband since I was 17 and we divorced when I was 29 and then single mom...no parties ever =)

So this year, we wanted to host New Year's as our FIRST gathering in the new house. Most people haven't seen the new house yet. We invited like 70 people but about 17-20 are coming LOL!

Poor DH...he has all these single friends...all big partiers/drinkers/very fly by the seat of their pants kinds of guys...and the DO NOT RSVP. They can't even spell RSVP. And poor Keith will be so hurt when they don't show up. But if you were in your mid thirties and not tied down, would you go to your married friends house to hang out with his wife and her family and a million little kids??? Uh, I wouldn't. So I think he will be hurt. Also, no one in his family is coming. They hate me but I don't think that's the reason they aren't coming...but Keith takes offense to all of this.

I am cooking my head off today and tomorrow. The house needs cleaning too, but the kids are going to help me tonight with that. I am making chinesy chicken wings (this marinade that you cook for 4 hours with honey and soy sauce, it melts in your mouth...I don't even eat the wings but other people do LOL), a cheeseball (my own recipe with cream cheese, shredded cheddar, nuts, ham, and green onions) and summer sausage and crackers...black bean dip and queso dip with tortilla chips, citrus punch, and that's actually all I can remember for now. I was going to make dessert but I have so much candy and stuff around here, I'm just going to put it all out and let people go to town.

I have to take pictures to show everyone, I've gone on about this house and it's ALL DONE NOW! Basement is finished again, new carpet and cupboards, and everything is put away like it needed to be!

We start at 6 tomorrow. I'll be up from now until then getting ready. My parents are coming and my sister and her family and a few friends.
