I am new to the board, and just needed to vent and see if anyone has any suggestions because I'm getting really frustrated with my cycles. Before I was on the pill, I always had regular 35 day cycles. I got off the pill (after 2 years on the pill) in January of 2009 and started charting and using OPKs a few months before ttc to let my cycles regulate. My cycles were not very regular, I had 2 30 day cycles, 2 35 day cycles, and 2 42 day cycles before conceiving in July of 2009 (I conceived on what would have been a 42 day cycle with O on day 27). Unfortunately that pg ended in a missed miscarriage discovered at 12 weeks. I had a D&C on 9/18.

We were told to wait 1 cycle before ttc. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, my hcg took forever to go down to baseline levels, and I didn't ovulate until day 60, making for a 76 day cycle. So this has been the first cycle since the mc where we had the ok to ttc. This cycle I started getting dark but not positives on OPKs and watery or egg white cm on CD14. This has continued every day (today is CD 31). I haven't had a true positive OPK and my cm is still fertile. Fertility Friend says maybe I ovulated on CD17 or CD20, but the chart looks nothing like my usual charts (even my mc cycle). Usually my cm turns creamy immediately after O. I just don't feel like I did ovulate, and I'm really frustrated with trying to continue BDing every 2 days. I figure I will wait until CD42 to see if I either clearly ovulate late or get an anovulatory period before calling the doctor to see what's going on.

Does that seem reasonable, or should I call earlier or later? I am just getting fed up. We are already about 4 months out from the mc and I feel like we've gotten nowhere. At this rate, we'll be lucky to get in 1 cycle of ttc before my original EDD rolls around. Not to mention that ovulating this late worries me in case it contributed to the mc. It just sucks. Ugh.

I would call just to say what your OB says...it really does suck. Just keep BDing as long as your CM looks good, that way while the OB tries to figure it out, you might just conceive on your own!!!

Let us know what he says! How old are you? I just ask because I am 35 and they take me WAY more serious than they did when I was 24 and got pregnant with my son. Cuz they know I'm short on time LOL =) Nah they tell me I'm still young but I keep with the geriatric jokes because I never thought I'd have kids after 30 (remarriage to a great guy will make you want more kids!)

Good luck!

I am so sorry it has been so frustrating for you. I totally understand that. I can tell you that I m/c on 9/13 and I am just now starting to have more regular 30 day cycles with + OPKs, really clear fertile signs, etc. and it is our 3rd cycle after m/c. I still don't feel like my cycle is the same as it was before m/c in terms of symptoms of PMS vs pregnancy, so it may take more time unfortunately for everything to get back to what it was before. I agree with Angela, if you can keep BD while your CM looks good, it can't hurt and maybe things will result without the Doc's help. Best of luck!

I am so sorry to welcome you here, but this is a grerat board. I have a situation very similiar to yours - even down to the time line.

9/2 - d&c
9/29 - post op follow up with ob/gyn - beta 0
10/1 - temp drop, cramps - no period
10/13 - O pains signs, slight temp rise
10/27 - temp drop, cramps - no period (call Dr. and they said it sometimes take 12 weeks)
11/7 - 0 pains, slight temp rise
11/22 - intense cramps, pressure no period. Had a sonogram to check for scar tissue and dr. prescribed progesterone 100 mg. for 2 weeks if no period 2 weeks after stopping (Christmas week) then I need to go back
12/20 -- same thing - very intense cramps/pressure.

My follow up is next week on 1/8. There are a couple of things that have caused me to have anovulatory cycles - I also have hypothyroidism. On 10/27 - My Endocrinoligist changed my med and increased the dose again this week because I am still hypo. I am hoping that will get be back on track for next month.

I would suggest calling your doctor. The progesterone really helped to "reset" my body. I was falling my normal cycles, but it was very weak and hard to tell what was going on.

I will keep you updated on what my doc. says next week when I go.

I hope it gets better for you soon.

Kat.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm really sorry that all of us are here struggling with this. I am trying to distract myself as much as possible and give my body some time to get back to normal since I'm only 26, and as much as I want a baby right now, there really is no rush. It's just really hard some days.

I think venting a little did help me muster up some more motivation for BDing, and this afternoon I did get a true positive on an OPK. Hopefully I'll actually ovulate and at the very least be able to move on to the next cycle. I don't know how much hope I'll hold out for getting pg from a day 33/34 ovulation, but at least something's happening!

Good luck to everyone!
