Now that I've been bleeding for two days, today very, very hard, I'm convinced that my pregnancy is over. I figured you ladies would know better than I would-- do you think I need to see my doctor for anything?

I figure, what's done is done, at this point my body is treating this loss like a period. I don't plan on TTC for a few months at least, so what's done is done. Can anyone think of a reason that I SHOULD see my doctor?

I think an ectopic pregnancy would have been painful (I think) and I'm not having bad pains... just curious. I would love an answer as to why I would have two successful pregnancies with one husband and then two unsuccessful pregnancies with the next, but I don't think that's going to be able to be answered when my body has "cleansed" everything that was there already.

I don't plan on calling my doctor tomorrow (Monday) unless someone knows of a good reason why I should see him at this point.

to make sure that you passed everything? Though he won't be able to determine if it was ectopic. I was with the doctor in the very beginning of my m/c and he ordered 2 u/s and never figured out if it was normal or ectopic. He could order a pathology analysis. If you have a good insurance, why not see a doctor?

Or you could wait and see how you feel after m/c.

{hugs!}

The biggest reason is to make sure everything has passed and that your HCG is decreasing.

I found with my 4th miscarriage I knew what was going on with my body so i just told my doctor so that she knew but told her I knew what was going on and knew it was complete. She didn't need me to do anything but a blood test and it went "on record" so to speak.

I agree that at the very least it would be good to monitor your hCG levels to know that they are dropping at a reasonable rate/time frame.

It would do no harm to call your Dr's office on Monday and let them know what is going on. But if you want to m/c naturally and your body is doing what it should you won't need any invasive procedures. I was told about d&c with my m/c, but talked with the nurse about doing it on my own and they were fine with that so long as I would call if the bleeding became very very heavy.

Thinking of you and sending you lots of thoughts (((HUGS)))

When I had my m/c I did not go see a doctor. I did call to see if she wanted me to come in. She told me that unless the bleeding was more than a regular period for me,I wasnt in excrustating pain that and that the bleeding was getting less and less each day and not more than just to wait at home and relax. So that is what I did. I bled for a little over a week and we were back to TTC that same month. Hope everything is turns out just fine for you and you get your sticky bean as soon as you start TTC again. take care of your self and take time to mourn, it is a hard thing to go through. I dont know what I would have done had I not found this board. These ladies are the BEST!

I agree... You want to let know so they can document the loss.. If you want testing alot of Drs won't do anything untill the 3rd documented loss. And also to monitor your levels.. and if you are still bleeding more than one pad an hour.. you really need to get to the hospital.. if it is still heavy under the one pad an hour.. I would still call in the am... alot of things can go wrong.. Not that I think that... but the Dr can let you know if they want anything more done... HUGS... I am so sorry again that you are going through this..
