So I hear the new pink wrapper FRER's are horrible.

So what is the next choice?

Answer brand was made by FRER.... Not sure if they have changed them.... I use the internet cheapies... followed up by dollar store brand.. and I have the old FRER... But after I use them... I'm not sure what I will use... Probably IC followed by digis....

Good question, I was wondering this too. I'm thinking about going out for more tests.

Do you get ones from Dollar General or Dollar Tree? I think Dollar Gen has two kinds one for $1 and another that is more.

I'm not sure if they have changed the Answer tests yet or not, but they would be my next choice. I have one white wrapper FRER left and will only use it if I'm sure it won't go to waste lol. I bet you could auction the white wrapper FRERs on ebay for quiet a bit these days

Wow! I didn't know anything about the new 'bad' FRERs until I read it on here, AFTER I used my last white FRER to get the +. I should have saved that thing and used it to finance my son's education on E-Bay Oh well, at least it was put to good use but the pink FRER I followed up with was much lighter than the white FRER, even though I used the same urine both times 2 min apart. That's gotta say something, doesn't it?

Good question Missy, I haven't a clue... I would use IC's, dollar store & CBE digi's then.

I do have one of those pink foil FRER's was saving it for 14-15dpo, **** sure won't use it before then if it's so crappy

I used a few of the new FRER last month and I didn't get any strange lines etc...I'll still use them as long as I don't see any false lines.

i was going to suggest ebay too. just make sure they are not expired. i used an expired FRER two cycles ago and it gave me a second line. the line looked kinda weird so i tested with an Answer Brand and it was neg. since the same companies make FRERS and Answers, i'm hoping the Answer Brands do not change. Maybe with so many problems, FR will go back to the old tests. I think they want us to pay for their more expensive digitals, so they are making the two line tests cheaper!

I myself will use Answer Brand, until that changes too! There's another pink dye test, that i can't think of at the moment. I bought them at CVS Pharmacy last time I was pregnant. They were pretty good too. If I can remember them, i'll post it later.

Missy, I know theres lots of bad rap on the new FRER, but heres my opinion. It does show a line while the test is "wet", still developing. The line is the test line that will either turn pink or disappear once the test is done developing. I have used the new FRER for the last couple of months, and while I dont like seeing two lines on the test before you even use it, it will be negative if your not pregnant. It just gets your hear racing a bit because as the color passes through the test, you do see where the "test" line is clearly. With the old FRER, you did not see the test line unless it was a bfp.

The new FRER's sensitvity level is a bit "lower" than it used to be, I think. Meaning, it does not pick up hcg with such freakish low quantities anymore. I persoanlly think thats a plus, but some do not.

All of the Answer test I took this month, were made the same way as the new FRER, you can see the "test" line right out of the wrapper. Just have to wait and see if atually turns color when the test is complete. I have never gotten an evap with the new FRER's, but I know its not impossible.

Love you!
