Hi. Well, I had a miscarriage on the 21rst of Dec. I was a little over 5 weeks along. We had been trying for several months and were so excited to get the bfp. I started to have spotting and cramping and went to the er and it was confirmed I was miscarrying. My hcg was down to 4 by the 21rst. We are ttc already since I passed it all natural. NOw I am kinda waiting to o. I thought I oed like 3 or 4 days ago but I think thats too soon after a miscarriage to o. I am doing opks and they are giving me lines but not thick dark lines like normal when I o. My body is playing games iwth me I think. My cervix has been high for a week and I have had really sore achey boobs. I am just confused and wishing I would just o if I havent yet. I want a baby so bad that I can hardly stand it. I just cant seem to think of much else.

Welcome to TTCAL, I am so very sorry for your loss (((HUGS))) and I hope your stay here is short and sweet. It can take your body a while to get back to normal after a m/c, there really is no set time line as everyone is so different. Just try to take it one day at a time and I hope you get back to normal before long.
Do you chart your BBT or cm and cp? Doing this can really help you see how you are doing and if you O. The OPK's you are using are a great tool also
(((HUGS))) again..

I dont temp but I check cp and cm and do opks. My cp came down when I miscarried but then it went back up about 5 days ago. Its been so high I cant reach it.. My opks are not dark though. I supposed my body is just trying to adjust.

So very sorry for your loss. Its normal for your body to not get back on track right after a miscarriage. It will soon get back to normal. They do say you are the most fertile right after a miscarriage though. I hope you see your BFP real soon.

Hello and KansasGal

I'm sorry to hear that you recently had a loss and right around Christmas too Did the holidays help lift your mood at all? Hope you had some good support and I think you've definitely come to the right place becaue everyone here can offer such wonderful support!!!

Ya never know, you might have O'd already but it's more than likely not .... however O'ing right after a loss is rare, but it can happen. I'm living proof it happened to, was told that I was a medical anomoly. Obvioulsly it CAN happen even tho my old OB said it was unlikely.

Just hang in there, you haven't had AF yet so it's going to be hard to determine where you are in your cycle as the hormones from pregnancy can cause opk's to be a little confusing. However I would count the first day of actual bleeding as CD1 like you would with AF, so that might help a little? I'm not saying don't TTC, but expect to be confused for a little while... pregnancy hormones can kind of change your cycle for a little while making it longer, shorter, O on a different day :-/ frustrating as it is we've all been there that's for certain (can I get a ya ladies?! jk'ing)

I hope we can help ya get thru it tho... HANG IN THERE!

My sister lost her baby at 8 weeks and literally conceived two weeks later with my crazy almost 5 year old nephew.

I wasn't TTC the first month after my m/c because I had a D&C...but I temp and I Od 15 days after the D&C, got my period, and I'm back to normal now. I just didn't want to chance it the first month. But from what I gather, you just take as much time as you need and you certainly can get pregnant right away after =)

Thanks for the welcome. I did ok thru the holiday but it was still kinda hard. It helped that we have a three year old daughter so I did enjoy Christmas because of her. The hard part was that Christmas was going to be when we told everyone I was pg. Since everyone comes to visit we were going to tell them so I had a hard time with that. I do have a very supportive husband. Its been hard on him as well. He was so excited he was already kissing me tummy and talking to the baby. lol. We have been having a lot going on with his family. There has been a lot of drama not its been pretty rough so the news of my bfp was so wonderful and then it was gone a week later. We had been ttc since around April. We are just trying to get thru it and try again. My husband was teasing me tonight about my moodiness. I have been really moody today. I am guessing its the hormones messing with me. I do know that I dont have anymore hcg from the miscarriage tho. I tested and got a bfn. Right now I am just kinda cramping and my boob hurt. It just feels like my body is tourturing me a little.
