Hi I'm Jess. I was in the August 2010 due date club up until about a week ago. I started spotting about a week ago after my pap smear. The doctor got me in last Tuesday for an ultra sound (I was 9w3d) to find that there was nothing in the sac, I had a blighted ovum. I went back on Friday and everything was the same so they gave me misoprostol to help me miscarry so I wouldn't need a d&c. I was so upset the Tuesday I found out but I'm getting through it. I just knew something wasn't right when I started spotting, but at the same time I'm like, I never thought this would happen to me! Oh and then to top it all off, my neighbor, who is 23 years old, announces on facebook (the same day i got my terrible news) that she is pregnant and her due date is 6 days after mine was supposed to be!!! So as if my day wasn't horrible enough, I now had to hear about her pregnancy!!!??? Oh, and I can't stand my neighbor either! SHe's got a permanent stick up her butt and even though we've made her feel extremely welcomed once she moved in, she still acts like a witch!!! ok sorry had to vent a little there! Anyway, nice to meet you ladies and I hope my stay here is short because DH and I have decided to start trying again right away since our DR gave us the ok!

Welcome to the Board.. I know how hard it can be having to have a constintant reminder of what you lost... My SIL was two weeks ahead of me when I lost my little girl. It is so hard.... HUGS. Please know that we know what you are going through.. and we are here for you, for what ever you may need... If you need to just vent, scream.. or talk to people who understand your loss.. HUGS

I'm Jennifer and also had a blighted ovum. I originalyl had a due date of around 7/7/10, but since my first u/s, I knew something was wrong. It was confirmed by my OB 11/30, and I started to lightly bleed a bit on 12/2. I had a D&C on 12/4. Having a blighted ovum kinda sucks, doesn't it? your body still acts pregnant, but you're not...it's so weird and confusing. ANY loss is confusing and not fun...

Sorry about your neighbor. It always seems that when a woman loses a child, eveyone around them are pregnant or having their babies! It can be too much at times. Talk to us here, and we'll help you through it!!

I'm sorry for your loss Jess! I'm alethia, I've had 3 losses - my last was in November. I'm sorry about your neighbor too, that's so hard to deal with when ppl aren't thoughtful and don't have tact! gsh! HUGS! just picture her in a big vat of jello - that makes me laugh. i'm weird i know. Again, welcome to the group! (although i'm sorry you are here too)
