When will a HPT be neg?

I was just curious when everyone's HCG levels went down to where it didn't pick up on a HPT anymore. I got my OPKs in the mail today and decided to pee on a HPT and it was still pretty positive... Can you still ovulate if you have HCG in your system?

It can take up to a few weeks to go back to zero. It depends on how high it was to begin with. Best thing to do is to get your doctor to do a blood test to make sure it is going down.

It all depends... Some people loose the HCG quickly.. Like with my first m/c... than other times it can take weeks... In Sept it took 4 weeks to my levels to return to 0. You are not supposed to Ovulate untill your levels hit 0. Are you do to go in for Blood work to check you HCG?? I would continue to Monitor you HCG, and your temp. If you start to run a temp I would call the Dr ASAP... I would put a call in tomorrow.. to see if he wants you to come in.. if you don't already have an apt..

I have an appointment on Wednesday. She said they were just going to do a urine test to make sure I was back down to negative... but I'm sure if the urine test shows up positive she will check my HCG level.

It took me 2 and a half weeks to go back down to zero. Hopefully everything is going down like it needs to.

They never checked my levels, but they did do a urine pregnancy test when I went in for labwork to pre register for the repeat d&c and it was neg. That was about 4 weeks after the first d&c. The nurse was debating doing it since we were doing a repeat d&c and suspected some tissue was left. Not sure how sensitive those tests are.

I had a blood test 7 days after my m/c, HCG were still in 100s. 10 days after m/c home pg test still showed pretty clear positive. I repeated test in 20 days after m/c and finally it was negative.

It's been 11 days since my M/C so I'm sure it's probably just working itself out. Hopefully it will go back down so I can O and continue on to my sticky BFP!
