Many of us make this promise to ourselves, especially if we've experienced a chemical pregnancy before. But I am wondering, how could someone NOT notice the difference in the "period" that accompanies a chemical pregnancy vs. just your regular old AF? I certainly notice the difference, not to mention I seem to get early pg symptoms anyway.

Is it just a matter of not seeing the two lines? Also, wouldn't it be important (thought not necessarily good for the emotions) to know if you've had a chemical or several so that you can begin to seek medical attention?

I always test early... I want to know.... If not to push my Dr to awknowledge that I again had a loss.... I get my levels drawn before AF is due... As soon as I get that +.... I am on the phone with the Dr... But this is just me.. I know other ladies who wait.. because they don't want to see a BFN.. It is a hard way no matter which way you look at it...

I have stopped making this promise to myself, because I NEVER keep it. I might be better off if I waited, because 6 of my 9 losses have been chemical. I just like to know as well. This month I will probably start testing at 11 DPO and as soon as I get a BFP I am going to find some Dr somewhere to check my progesterone and maybe give me a prescription.

I normally don't have a problem testing early, however with the change in the FRER, I don't think I will test more than a day early. I plan to wait until I'm late, but I don't know if that will happen, because if I get a suspicion, I want to test right then even if it is to early, lol! But I tested early this month and with the stupid FRER, I saw a line and it stayed but it was so light I wasn't sure if it had any color. It showed up in the correct time frame so I'm not sure what it was. I couldn't see a line on the other 2 I took even after they dried. But my temp dropped and AF started the next day. I guess it could have been a chemical but Af didn't seem any different than before and wasn't the worst one I've ever had. But I have wondered sometimes when I had a really bad cycle if maybe it could have been a chemical pregnancy.

I'll admit, my bleeding after my chemical pregnancy was very, very heavy. I would think I would know by the bleeding if I had a chemical even without testing.

Despite that, I'm NOT testing again until I'm late. If not for the only reason that I spent over $50 on tests because something just didn't seem right-- and it wasn't. I promised myself that if/when I get pregnant again I will POAS one time and not until I'm two weeks late for my period! LOL

That means that since I started 1-3-10 my exact 6 week point will be on Valentine's Day. If I haven't started by 2-14-10 I will take ONE test. If it's positive, I will call my doctor. If it's negative I will know it's wrong because I will be two weeks late for my period! LOL

If I don't start my period like normal this will be very, very, very hard. I will find the will power though!

I have an aversion to testing. I never test early.
