I realize those words are usually not said with joy, but for me, I'm so happy!!! This is the last and "most official" sign that I'm returning to normal!! It only took about 45 days (6 weeks) since my surgery. It's been 3 1/2 months since I've had a period.
Yeah, I'm sad I didn't get pg this month, but I was really pretty sure I wasn't going to be pg. I am not trying to be pessimistic, I just knew it wasn't happening. I'm so happy I'm officially restarting and finally getting back to square one. I've felt that I've been on square -463 for so long... afterall, I've been waiting for all of this since BEFORE my surgery. (I suspected my pregnancy would not be viable since our first apt, November 19). Then I had to wait to ovulate. Then this week, I've been cramping, aching, very irritable...but no bleeding! BEFORE my pregnancy, I would be *itchy the 1-2 days before AF and maybe cramp a couple hours before starting. NOT for 4-5 days before.
The best part? the OB said we can start TTC after my first period!!! I'm aiming for an October baby. keep your fingers crossed, ladies!
(and I can enjoy some adult beverages over the next few days/weeks.)
