I posted in here a few days ago and I just don't know where to turn to right now.

I have been to the ER 4x in the past few weeks as I have had bleeding off and on.. People keep asking me if its spotting or bleeding and I honestly dont know the difference. It is only when I wipe and normally only once a day, but it is bright red or dark red. I went to the bathroom yesterday and it dripped into the toilet so I went to the ER again. They just always say Threatened abortion. I have not bled at all today.

My timeline..

LMP 12-5-09

Positive FRER 1-1-10

1-2-10 Bled a little went to er HCG 21

1-8 Bled a little went to er HCG 540

1-11 Bled a little went to er HCG 3000, they see a tiny gestational sac.

1-16 Bled a little went to er HCG 9000 said they see no fetal pole. I was so distressed I don't remember if they saw a yolk sac or not.. going to get the medical records tomorrow.

when I was charting my ovulation I would always get a positive on CD16-17 so a few days later then the typical text book ovulation date. Would that affect how far along I am if I ovulated a few days later?

I am trying to hold on to hope, but I don't know what to think. My boobs hurt and I am nauseated all day and night. But I am also worried that from 1-11 to 1-16 my numbers only went from 3000 to 9000.

I am currently waiting on medicaid so it is a waiting game.

Does anyone have any advice?

UPDATED

I went and got a copy of my medical records today from saturday and this is what it says...

My HCG is 9402

- Well defined gestational sac in uterus which is emptying and may be too early to visualize a fetal pole. It says there is no yolk sac or fetal pole. The sac measurement estimate age is 4 weeks 4 days. There are two cysts and are adjacent to the right ovary.

That would put me a week behind.. I know they can't or usually dont see a fetal pole or yolk sac at 4weeks right??

Is it possible get a positive test at only 3 weeks?

If I ovulated later then the normal text book ovulation then would that change how far along I really am? I am trying to hold out hope and if that is the case I would be 5weeks today.

Hugs that you have to go through this.... HUGS...

As for your Numbers... that last set dosen't sound to good. I would think they would be higher....

But other things could explain why they didn't double in the 24 hours.. and the bleeding. example... you could have been pregnant with twins... while the one pregnancy is fine.. the "twin" was not.. at that is also causing the bleeding.. While yes it is a long shot. it would happen...

With you being only 5 weeks... they won't see too much...And waiting on insurance will only make the stress that much more. Hopefully everything will turn out ok.. But at this point thier is nothing they can do if you are m/c. I know you want answers... and I wish I could give you more... HUGS... KUP.. HUGS to you..

When do you usually start the mc process naturally. If it is in fact a mc I really want to try to avoid a d&c if at all possible.

Oh I hope this is not the case.... But depending on if your body will do it... Sometimes it can be days... or weeks.. that is why a Dr will usually follow you and monitor your numbers... If they are going down.. your Dr will most of the time let you m/c naturally.. if thier is a problem with bleeding.. than they will say you need a D/C.. or if your numbers are not droping they might suggest it... I really hope everything works out for you... KUP

Have they checked your progesterone levels at all? Sometimes that can cause bleeding early on and if you start a supplement it can correct it. Hugs! I pray that you get some answers soon.

i'm so sorry for your stress!! i hope all is well with your little bean. HUGS!!!

there is no way to tell how long a m/c can take. my second m/c took almost a month. but i had already had a d&c for the first m/c and i didn't want to have a second.

keep the faith!!! just hold on to your little bean and don't let go! I will be praying for good news for you!

I wouldn't worry too much. It does sound like your progessing ok. Your last set of numbers is fine too. Once you get to a certain point you don't double every 48 hours. It can go to doubling every 4-5 days instead and still be just fine. Your doubling time for the last set is just over 3 days. That is normal! There are so many reasons for bleeding early in pregnancy and the majority of them are completely normal.

As far as the ultrasounds go, it's common to not see a fetal pole that early as well. Especially if the tech wasn't great, the equipment is older or you have a tilted uterus.

I'm sorry this is such a roller coaster for you right now. I have no idea about numbers and what should be seen when so I've got no answers for you. I just hope that this is just a lot of stress along the way to a healthy nine months...

My best advice is to get into your OB because in the ER they deal with more emergency related general medicine than a "specialist" like an OB unless they send you to an OB department. I've heard many stories of how something was missed and ladies have been scared by what they did or didn't see via u/s in the ER.

So please don't put all your marbles in one basket (meaning all your faith into what the ER has said)

I'm sorry they're scaring the crap out of you, but I sure do hope you can get to your doctor and have things cleared up, reassured. Allot of times when a lady has a risk and is pending ins. they will see you but sign a form verifying you're in the process of aquiring ins.

I agree with Celena. I think you should try to go in to see your OB; explain what has been happening these last few days. You are just going through so much going to the ER and not getting answers. I hope all is ok with you.

It's medicaid and they said 15 business days last friday from when I sent it in. So now it is Jan.28th.

I have called my OB, they will not even book any kind of appointment unless your medicaid is approved. trust me I have tried to call. I even tried to call and tell them i think it went through and they pulled it up and said no its still pending call back when it is active.. I posted a update in the first post.

As far as I am aware they don't have any free clinics here. You either pay to go to the clinic and that is around $80 for the visit doesn't include any labs, tests, etc or just go to the Er. I don't know I will just have to wait until I get medicaid.

When was your last period? When did you get your first pos test? How long are your cycles usually? Is your EDD based on LMP?

If your EDD is based on LMP and your LP is shorter than 14 days and/or you cycle was longer than 28 days that would change your EDD....but I would need more info to see...

Can you look into WIC - usually they'll have programs for pregnant women -- here WIC is attached to ACCESS and gives prenatal care.

I'm so sorry you're going through this emotional rollar coaster! HUGS, and i'm sending big T&P for you!
