I was 15 wks 4 days weeks when I had a miscarriage on Dec 16th, 2009. I didn't have any bleeding or cramps when I miscarried. I had spotting at 6wks. I had 4 ultrasounds & each one was fine. I had severe morning/all day sickness. At about 14 weeks my feet started to swell. I checked my bp the next day & it was higher than normal. It usually ran 115-120/70. When I checked my bp it was 145/84. I called my dr. & they told me to just watch my bottom #. I checked my bp later on that day & my bottom # went up to 100. I called my dr. & they got me in the next day. I went in the next day(Thur) & it was still high. They put me on bedrest for 2 days. Had to do a 24hr urine b/c I had a lot of protein show up in my urine. Went back in on Fri and it was better but still higher than normal. Heartbeat was great. Dr. put me on bp med. Had to repeat 24hr. urine the next wk. because my doctor didn't have me do it for the full 24 hours and it still showed up high. I went in on Monday and my bp was still high but lowered a little after laying on my left side. They didn't check the heartbeat. Continued to monitor my bp and it was still high so I called the dr. back. They had me come in the next day on wed. to check my bp and have meds changed b/c bp was still high. When they went to check the heartbeat they couldn't find it. Nurse checked, then doctor, and then had to have an ultrasound. My protein was in the 7000's. Dr. said I miscarried. I was induced that day. Dr. thought it could have been a possible partial molar pregnancy and mention possible pre-eclampsia. I saw the PA last week on Jan 12th. She mentioned something about seeing a specialist the next time I got pregnant due to having high bp so early in the pregnancy. I would see both my regular dr. and the specialist. I was just wondering if anyone had this same problem or if they actually went to a specialist because of high bp or pre-eclampsia. I really want to try again but am just scared. I was just wondering how often you would visit the specialist due to high bp/preeclampsia and how many ultrasounds you would get.
