Hey everyone. I'm new to ttcal. I'm just wondering how long it took you ladies to get pregnant again after your mc? I miscarried at the beginning on jan due to a blighted ovum; dh and I want to start trying right away. Our dr said we could try as soon as we wanted so ...

Hi Jess I am so sorry for your loss... HUGS But every woman is different.. I have gotten pregnant 3 times..in 11 months.. The first +, was Nov.. m/c.. had one cycle concieved again one month later got my + in Jan... m/c took 7 months.. + in Aug... m/c... in Sept I am now going on my 4th cycle since than. You will hear everything from {"I didn't even get my AF after my m/c and got a BFP"} to {"It has been over a year"}.... The truth is .... your body is different from everyone else... It could take you 2 weeks... or 2 years... I am sorry this is not a cut and dry answer... Going through a M/C is so frustrating.. HUGS...

Thanks I really appreciate it. I know everyone is different the more good stories I hear the better I feel. It just sucks having to wait until af comes again and who knows how many times she will come before a bfp.
Also, you can get pregnant before u have ur first cycle again? Wow I def didn't know that! Is that even healthy to do? I mean I would assume u would need some time to get healthy again?

Thier is no Increased risk of m/c.... And rememeber your body will not get pregnant unless it is ready.... As long as your Dr has medicaly given you the go ahead.... (I say this because I don't know if you have a underlining medical issue)... But if this was "just" a m/c (I know it was not just a m/c) But medicaly speaking... And you are not bleeding anymore.. you an O ANYTIME after your HCG numbers hit 0. With that being said.. yes you can get pregnant... before AF... and also.. if you are Healthy.. thier is not medical reason to wait to TTC after a m/c... they tell you to wait.. for your first cycle for dating the pregnancy.

Popping back in from the Sept DDC...
I m/c in Nov...waited to start a normal period again before TTC...and got pregnant that cycle.
I charted after the m/c, I ovulated after the m/c, but I didn't feel like jumping STRAIGHT in. I wanted my body to get back to normal.
I wasn't supposed to TTC until like March. But by my first real period, I felt back to normal again. (My doc says you need 3 months to heal emotionally...I'm almost 36, I DO NOT HAVE THAT KIND OF TIME =)

I m/c-ed July 1st '09 & have been trying since with no luck yet but then again it took 3 years & MA to conceive in the first place so my story isn't the typical story.

Hi there! I m/c on Sept. 13th, 2009, got my first AF in mid October and started TTC in November 09. We got pregnant in December, on the 25th. I am only 5 weeks, but so far so good. I highly HIGHLY recommend using the digital ovulation sticks with the smiley faces to take the guess work out of when you are ovulating. I switched to them after using the cheapies in November and got pregnant right away. They are more expensive, but worth every penny, one less thing to guess about. I also started temping in December and really keeping track of my cycle on fertility friend.com which helped me to get more in tune with my 'new' cycles post m/c. I knew I was pregnant before I got a + because my temp spiked way up and stayed there. I wish you luck, I hope you get the BFP soon!

Kary is right, every woman is different. I am in my 22nd cycle of TTC after our loss. We are now starting MA. I've seen other women on this board who do get pg immediately after their loss.
I'm sorry for your loss. There is a lot of support on this board.

I'm sorry for your loss!! I had my first m/c in March 09. It took 3 months to get pg again which ended in a chemical pregnancy, then another 2 months and that one ended as well. after the 3rd m/c it took me another 3 months to get my BFP and this one is so far sticking around.
I have a problem with egg quality. Good luck ttc again!!!

All of my losses were very early losses (all before 4.5 weeks) the first time I got pregnant the very next month, the second time I got pregnant 2 months after, then the third time we werent trying and were preventing so it doesnt really count, same with the fourth.
