They gave me a blood test, results should be back tomorrow afternoon, she said I could need a d&c, I asked what the likelihood of me still being pregnant were, she said it will be the tissue left behind.

I'm so angry, I feel like she wouldn't take me seriously. I showed her the test, she said "oh yes, it's very positive"

I think you need to demand an u/s prior to your d & c. What if you are pg with twins? If that line is as dark as you say & it come up fairly quickly, then ask for the u/s & blood test. When I had one of my first m/c, I did a preg test at the doctors (following blood loss & tissue) and it took ages to come up positive..... just a thought. Hope you are ok. x

I would most certainly as for an u/s before they do a d&c! I can't believe she didn't do one to see if it was in fact tissue left behind! I had was having bleeding after my d&c and it wasn't heavy but there and my doc did one to see what was going on. I'm sorry doc is being so difficult!

I would also make sure you get an ultrasound before a d&c. It's the only sure way for you to feel comfortable with the decision to do the d&c.
