I miscarried on 12/16/09 due to a partial molar pregnancy. When I went to the dr. on 1/5/10 I had blood drawn. Went to dr. on 1/19/10 and he said my hcg level was -2. I have only had my blood drawn once and have talked to a few ppl about a molar pregnancy. Everyone else that I have talked to has had numerous blood drawn to check the hcg levels b/c it can take awhile to get back to normal. Once it does get back to normal they have to have it checked 2 or 3 more times.

Stupid Question probably. Can you hcg levels actually go back up once they hit a neg. or normal number if you are not preg.?

I was told by some of the ladies to take a hpt and I did. I hate the dollar store tests but just when ahead and got one from there b/c I was right there. I took it and it does show two lines. Now I am really confused and not really sure what to do. My dr. said I didn't need to come back until Oct. during my appointment on the 19th.

If I knew how to get my pic posted I would show you a pic of test. Just to see if you all think it is positive too and not just my eyes playing tricks on me.

Partial Molar pregnancys need to be monitored even after your hcg levels hit 0. Since you have a positve test again, after a hcg reading of -2, something is going on in there. You need a repeat test done asap. Molar pregnancies are monitored very closely because of the high chance of a single cell left behind that starts to grow again........Im sorry you are going through this, but bring your hpt to the dr. to show him proof and demand another blood draw, this can be very serious.

Hmm thats really odd I've never heard of neg hcg levels. Maybe some of the other girls on here can give some insight about that. I would say since you got 2 lines to call the dr and make an appt for a blood test. Or possibly before doing that take a FRER or an Answer test just to be positive of what you got. To answer your question about posting pictures I believe that you need a certain number of posts.

You can go to the pregnancy loss boards and search in there, there have been several ladies who have been through this recently. I was tested for it in April with one of my losses, just to rule out, and my dr. explained to me what would happen if it was molar. Basically partial molar means you should not TTC for 6 months, so they can re-check you to make sure no new cells are growing....this would be the reason for the follow up even after below 0 hcg. If you were to become pregnant during the 6 months, it would be higher risk for some linguring cells to re-grow during the new pregnancy, making the new pregnancy non-viable.

For full molar, you have to wait 1yr to ttc. They give you medication I believe and you are under even closer scutinity from the dr. to make sure no cells have entered the lungs or other vital body organs, as this can be cancerous.

Again, Im very sorry for your loss, and hope you find some stories on here in the other boards to help guide you more.

We did DTD on Jan 18th and 19th. Not sure where I am at in my cycle but I stopped bleeding about the 15th and started spotting again the 19th. Surely if for some reason I would be preg. it wouldn't show positive on a test 7 days later.

Just got off the phone with a nurse at my dr. office. She said my hcg showed less than 2 not negative 2! I could have sworn that the dr. told me neg. 2 and when he showed me it just said -2! LOL Anyways I have a dr. appointment in the morning. VERY NERVOUS Not sure if this is good or bad. Nurse said that once a person in their office reaches normal they don't usually do any additional testing. It doesn't usually go back up. If it does go back up then it may not be good. I am very nervous and don't really know what to think. Not sure if this is good or bad.

Did your dr. tell you about not conceiving for 6months? I mean, it does happen, they just have to monitor your levels for awhile to make sure they are doubeling appropriately. 7dpo is very early to get a positive hpt, but no un-heard of. And you were in the time frame for you body to of possibly o'd. Im just shocked that your dr. did not express the importance of using protection to make sure you were all in the clear. Molar pregnancies, are extremely rare, but very seriouse when they happen. If its a cell that has started to re-grow, they will be able to tell with a couple of blood tests to see what the levels are doing. I would ask many questions to your dr. so your not in the dark about this process.

Praying for a good outcome for you!

I had a partial molar preg. so not sure if that makes a big difference. When he told us it was a pmp he just said to use condoms this month and we could start trying next month. I wasn't due to go back until Oct and that was just for a pap smear. I am stressing about this way too much. My head is killing me right now and I can't even think straight. I am going to poas in the morn. too just to see how light or dark the line is. Not sure if I want to get a digitial and use it tonight or not since I have an appt in the morn already.

Appointment this morning to get my blood drawn. Hopefully they will send it to the lab at the hospital so I can get my results today but I don't really see that happening.

Well went to dr. They only drew my blood didn't see anyone else. Said I will get my results in the morning. UGGGHHH! Still spotting. Actually a little heavier than I have been. Ended up buying a CBE digital and it said pregnant. Took it awhile to come up or seemed like it did since I sat there staring at it the whole time. So now I don't know what to think. Don't know if it is actually + b/c I could be pregnant or it could be something left in there from my m/c. Just need to scream or cry but I feel like I can't. I posted a pic of the test just so you ladies can see I am not losing my mind. I had to post it as my display pic though b/c I don't know how and don't think I can add pics yet

Now I feel like I am getting AF and have started to pretty much bleed. Stomach is cramping. Now I am really thinking that the BFP is from my m/c and that something is not right. Wish I could go to bed and never wake up.
