This is something that I have read alot into..and have found so many different things documented... First off.... my story is I have had 3 m/c.... the first one I was late.. tested it was a light +... I started to bleed within 24 hours of that test.. My second My Progesterone was fine.... But it was a chromosomal issue... and my last one... My OB... when I call takes HCG and Progesterone levels... I was right on the cusp... and was started on progesterone... My numbers failed to rise. When I went to talk to my Dr... he said we are now grasping at straws... After you Ovulate.. lets "Just" try to put you on Progesterone... My Dr Dosen't "believe" I have a progesterone level problem... since my second pregnancy... I had perfect levels. But as he said it can't hurt.
So I came home a serched for hours..... And came up with so many different things.. Main points...
1. The best was to take Progesterone.. first Vaginal Supository, second Shots, third pill
2. Should be started with 24 hours of Ovulation for best results... (But if you start to early... can delay.. if not stop ovulation from happening)
3. Some Doctors look at as... "Can't hurt, can only help... we have no idea why you are miscarring"
4. Some Dr's say YES.. I have seen ladies with spotting and/or low levels.. went on suplemensts.. and it saved the pregnancy
5. Others think that low levels of prosgesterone do not cause miscarriages.. it is the Miscarraige that causes the low level of progesterone... If the pregnancy was viable... it would produce levels of Progesterone to sustain the pregnancy...
6. If you do take supplements... you have to test early and if you get a BFN. You have to stop the supplements so you can bring on your flow...
Here are some links.... These are just articles.. but if you google you will see the obove information.. is a common link in a lot of the articles.... These are not from Medical sites.. I do have medical sites.. But these two articles.. were the most Unbiased..
