So, if you look at my chart, you'll see my temp took a MASSIVE nosedive this morning! I ended up taking it 3 times. The first time was 96.00. A few minutes later, it was 96.41. A few minutes after that, it was 96.20. Regardless of the temp, it was a nosedive.

If you look closely, you'll also see that we did NOT dtd last night. I was planning on it. Then we got in a fight. Then we weren't in the fight, but just not in the mood. I thought about attacking him when I went to bed (he was already asleep) but I was too tired. (I've not been telling him when I'm O'ing [or think i am], etc...so he doesn't think i'm just using him for his sperm.

And if you look closer, you'll see I had a - OPK yesterday. I think my old OPK strips are expired, so I bought new ones. The - OPK from yesterday was fresh and brand new. And definately negative.

CM - all over. some EWCM the other day, and maybe yesterday. None today - or a tiny itty bit.

anyway - check check in and see what you think. Check it out over the next couple days. We'll see if I did O today or not. i'm attacking him when I get home...just to be safe!

Ok... well lets ask a few questions... did you sleep good.. (not woke up or had to pee and feel back to sleep)... Were you mouth breathing? And how was the temp in the room??? Did you drink any last night?

Any other questions that can affect temp????? (Asking all other tempers)

Kary - here is one that effects my temps - When I got to bed with wet hair, my temp is always lower the next morning. I guess the cooling effect? IDK.

Wow... Kat I have never taken notice to that... I will have to next time!!!...

So Jen.... it could be temp drop for Ovulation.. or it could be from any of the above... I would get to BD tonight!!!

Here's my info -
Did not get up in the middle of the night. pretty sure it was a solid 6-6.5 hours of sleep. The room might have been cooler, but not too different than the last several nights of sleep. Ihave noticed the last 2-4 nights that I woke up with the covers NOT over my shoulder/upper body like usual. My arm has been out of the covers - but like I said, I've been like the last couple nights. My electric blanket was lower by .5-1 "notch" than normal...but I've had it lower than the ususal setting, and had normal temps. (it was "2" rather than around "3" - out of 10)

As for mouth breathing - I don't think I was when I took the first temp. After that, my nose got stuffy. but i can't confirm - cuz I was sleeping.

The second temp *might* have been shorted by my jumping when i heard the alarm go off again - not sure if I got the thermometer back in the same place. Even if that's the case, my temp wouldn't have climbed another .2-.3 degrees. Especially with the 3rd temp still being around 96.2.

3rd temp - definately stuffy nose. I kept my mouth closed during the temp reading, but the minutes/moments leading up to that, I was mouth breathing. Do you now how much it sucks to take your temp and can't breathe through the nose! UGH!

I will get busy tonight - i don't want to potentially miss my chance!! Fortunately, we got it on Sunday night, though not as recent as I'd like it to be.

What's bothering me is the -OPK last night. I *think* the ones I bought were the Answer POAS type - definitely not the dip strip things. Shold I be ok with that?? I didn't want to buy the 20 pack of the dip strip ones when I knew I'd be O'ing any time and potentially wasting a bunch.

The waiting is the hardest part of TTC. It's the 2WW, the waiting for AF, in general. The waiting to O. The waiting to see what tomorrow's temp will be. Waiting, waiting, waiting... ugh!

I would BD every other day just in case. Sometimes its hard to tell with temping because so many things can affect your temp

that was my intentions. I promise. But after yelling at dumb DH, then relaxing...then almost falling asleep on the couch...getting frisky was the last thing on my mind last night. *sigh* plus, with the -OPK, i figured I was most likely safe. we will see!

i can only speak from my experiences...but after you've been married for a while, make-up sex just isn't as important. Not fighting, then watching Biggest Loser becomes more important! lol!

Looks good! I did it every other day and got pregnant from having sex two days before and I have crappy CM. So it sounds like it is a good try! Have sex today anyway. And keep up with the test strips! When I got pregnant I almost stopped using them because I thought they weren't working. Although the stress was a lot...next time I will just temp because that's the best!

My temp this mornign was 96.92 - so, a significant increase, but not higher than earlier in the month temps. Negative OPK yesterday. We BDed anyway.

He's either thinking he's super lucky now, having all this sex, or he's fully aware why i'm jumping him every couple days - but still allows it. I have taken the "i'm not telling him everything about my cycle" approach, for now. That way, the sex is more emotional, close, etc and not as clinical or "using him" for his sperm. but i've also been trying to be good about having sex when I know I can't get pregnant - after o'ing, etc. That way it's not AS obvious!
