For those who are taking a B6 supplement- which dosage do you take? Can you take it at the same time as your prenatal? My prenatal has 2.6 mg, and I bought a bottle of B6 that is 50 mg. The store also had a 200mg slow release tablet, but I felt like that would be way too much.

Also, does anyone take B6 and thyroid meds? I'm severely hypo, and I take synthroid currently (may change tomorrow at the dr appt). From what I've read online, taking B6 can help with thyroid function, but I'm not confident enough to start it without talking to my doctor first.

B6 is good. it helps with luteal phase defect (which i have and what caused my mc) as well as pms and other things too.

i took B6 with all my other vits 100mg a day.

B6 shouldnt have any issues mixing with other medications or vitamins. you also cannot overdose on it.

good luck, hope you get your bfp!

I take a B complex (because I need B6 and B12). I do take them at a separate time of day, because the pill is HUGE. My pill has 150mg of each; but I have MTHFR which can cause a deficiency, so I have to have a high dose.

I don't know about the thyroid. I'd definitely check with your doctor.

I just started taking 200 mg of the slow release B6 this cycle. I take it with my folic acid and prenatal vitamins. Not too sure about the Thyroid meds but definitely talk with your doc.

My doctor's appt went well. I asked about the B6, and he said it should be fine to take together. The only bad news was he wants me to start on meds for high blood pressure. My BP isn't terribly high persay, but since we're TTC, they want me to take it to avoid complications if and when I do get pregnant.

I'm probably just going to take the 50 mg pill once a day for now, and I can always increase it later if I find it helps!

Idk if its true or not, but I was told that BP meds can interfere with fertility. Now I'm not 100% just giving my 2 cents
