I'm only 6dpo but feel the need to POAS. So I did. Not once today, but twice. Once yesterday too. I don't know what it is and what this obsession is but it feels so good to do it. Even when I know it's going to be a BFN because it's way too early. DH has no clue that I've done this. I don't want him to know how bad the obsession is. He thinks I'm seriously peeing every 20 minutes. Here's the POAS scenario for today: Wake up dying to POAS but can't because I keep them downstairs. Wait for 2MU and think I see a little tiny something of a faint of a line. Wait 30 minutes to go back into bathroom to stare at test. Think to myself, it's so faint, it's probably just an evap. Go about our day. We went out to breakfast and ran a few errands. Got home around 3pm. Decided I wanted test again after I "went" to the bathroom again to stare at the test. DH takes a nap for 1/2 hour - 45 minutes. Thank goodness cause I went into the bathroom at least 4 times to look at the test at every different angle possible to see nothing? Maybe, wait... if I hold it at a 38 degree angle against the window, there's the tiniest bit of hope... Hold pee for 4 hours.. 7pm comes around and I test. I've looked at it maybe 5 times since taking the test and can't tell. I'm waiting for DH to go out for a few minutes to inspect further.

Symptoms you ask? Nothing really to get my hopes up. Maybe just increased CM but that can be AF arriving next week? Something from the surgery? Who knows...

Why has POAS become such a habit? Such a need? Such a want? I'm not even upset that it's a BFN. I'm not even wanting to be preggers this month cause of the surgery. It's just so relieving for me to have something to stare at!!!

Just went to stare at the test since DH went to get some ice cream and I know it's a BFN, but to analyze it felt good. I think I'm going to hold onto these tests so next month I can compare them and analyze them instead of wasting tests. Don't think I'm going to stop though. I still have about 12 IC's and will probably use them all up between now and when AF arrives!!!

And I just noticed that my ticker is wrong! Going to fix that now....

I'm getting the itch to test! I've already moved my test date up several times. At first I was going to wait until the 6th 15dpo, then I decided to move it up a day because we're having company come Friday and stay the night and I didn't want to do it then, not that it really matters. Then the other day I was thinking I'd get 2 tests and do the 1st one on the 3rd, I'd be 12dpo. Now I thinking of buying a 3 pack and testing tomorrow, lol! Usually by the time I tell dh I am buying a test, I've already tested a few times, lol.

I just had a m/c and I'm wanting to POAS just to see if my hcg is really going down. . . .then when I get my AF back I'll be back to being a POAS addict . . . I never tell my dh (don't want to get him on this rollercoaster). Does anyone know where you can buy HPTs in bulk . . . it probably wouldn't be a bad investment!

I am still waiting to get my hcg level down. Was told it was negative but 3 weeks later poas and it was positive. Now I have to go in weekly to get bw done and then once it hits neg. I have to go in once a month for up to a year. I am so anxious to poas to see if it is neg. yet.

I bought 20 ICs and 3 FRERs this cycle. I've used one FRER and over half the ICs, and I'm only 11 DPO! I'm getting discouraged because last time I got my BFP at 11 DPO, and still BFNs this time.

Colleen, I did the same thing with my m/c. I POAS when I knew my levels were 36, just to see what it looked like! Then again a few days later and was relieved to see nothing. Although it didn't stop me from obsessing anyway! (Wait, maybe... turn it this way... okay, take it apart... hmm no, nothing... I need more light... WAIT! oh. yeah, nothing there.)

I usually buy mine in bulk from earlypregnancytests.com They are cheap enough and shipping is free and if you google a coupon for them you can usually save a few more dollars too. I also look around on Ebay, but if you buy there make sure you check on expiration dates.

I just placed an order at early-pregnancy-tests.com. Pretty decent prices.
