Just wondering what it takes for a Dr to put you on Clomid? I am not sure my Dr would do anything but I wonder if I even ovulate right. My cycle seems so messed up right now and its been 2 yrs that we have been ttc althought there was a pregnancy in there.

What did it take for your Dr to put you on clomid or do anything else about your ttc issues?

For me I was put on Clomid.... since I had three losses, and when I went in for my bloodwork, and follow up u/s... it was shown I did not have any mature follices... I thought I had been ovulating... since I was getting all the signs... CM, CP, and even + OPK's.... But the U/S confirmed.... thier was NO, and I mean NO follice big enough to release an egg that could be fertilized.....

That is why I am on Clomid..... And just to let you know.. my cycles are clockwork!! I get a + OPK on day 12/13... and AF shows 28/29...... So if I was you I would PUSH the subject of your Dr talking about testing... Good Luck!

Since I have not been ttc for a year since my loss, do you think he would still consider the clomid or just look into weather I am oing or not?

I had to chime in on this one....I really thought I probably should have been on Clomid earlier. But, like Kary said, my doctor was one who "restarted" my clock every time I got pregnant. And her rule was that I had to try for a year. We finally got pregnant on our 8th cycle after our 2nd loss...but the reality was that we had been trying for over 2 years! Frustrating! I would encourage you to do some preliminary tests on your hormones and stuff. Good luck to you!

We also had to wait a year after our loss. Then I had to wait about 6 months to get in to see the RE. Before I was put on Clomid we went through the gamit of tests: FSH, Progesterone, SA, HSG, u/s and others. I did ovulate, but my egg quality is most likely not that great because of my age. We are hoping that the Clomid will help that.

I will ask if I can even get an appt but I doubt he will do any testing. This is very frustrating.
