Its been 2weeks and 1day since we m/c... and i was wondering...this might sound stupid..but im still lightly bleeding and it doesnt feel like my cervix is closed yet....SO and I DTD a few times this week he was home...we used protection a couple times..but a couple times we didnt(yes bad i know since we arent planning to TTC for a long time now) but my question is... if my cervix isnt closed yet..and we do stuff..is there a higher chance i could get pregnant???
I feel horrible even thinking about TTC right now. We are waiting for tests to come back..which havent yet.

first off, i am so sorry for your loss. ~hugs~

i suppose anything is possible.... i would GUESS since you are still spotting, that you would be safe at this point. have you taken an hpt to see if it still comes up positive? i stopped bleeding a week ago and i still have a faint positive on my test.

i dont know what to tell you - there are many stories of women getting pregnant very soon after a m/c.....

i wish there were more definite answers for you. i guess now all you can do is wait and see~

Yes, if your cervix is open and you're ovulating your chances of pregnancy are much higher. MY peri dr said the 1st 3 months after pregnancy loss is more fertile and that has to do with your cervix still being slightly open. So if you're not supposed to be TTC because of medical reasons I would continue to use condoms or a diaphram.

BUT....

I would talk to your doctor about the "what if's" if you get pregnant any time soon and that might make you feel a little better about it. That way if you don't use protection every time you won't be so afraid of the "what if's"

Hope this helps ya

I know my MD told me to be very careful for a few months after m/c occured.
Also, my sister conceived about two weeks after a m/c, so it's definitely possible.
So sorry you've been through all this. HUGS

Anytime you Ovulate you can get pregnant... I would think while you are still bleeding... you have not Ovulated yet... Have you taken an HPT? Have you tested negative?? I would make sure you are testing negative.. so you will know If you were to get pregnant.

HUGS!
