Hi ladies!

I thought we should get this cycle group going again since there are many of us who are either

1) TTC is on hold after loss(es)
2) NTNP (not trying, not preventing)
3) Taking a Break; not trying at the moment
4) or just decompressing from TTCAL
5) fill in the blank ___________________
(for those of us who just are _______)

So I think since we have many new ladies and some of us older ladies who aren't actively trying at the moment(s) for whatever your reasons are. Com'on let's start it up and get a group going just for us.

(Lurkers welcome hee hee! JOIN IN!)

Let's start off with introductions....

Your name & age / SO,DH,BF name & age
How long you've been together, where you live (if you want to), etc
A bio of anything you want to share about yourself, DH / BF / SO

I'm Celena 33yr, DH Andre 31yr
We've been together for 6 years, married for 3 and we live in Virginia near the ocean.
DH & I were/are trying to concieve our first together and have had 2 losses, going thru our 3rd now. DH was bitten by the baby bug years before I had gotten my IUD out, but April 2008 it came out and IT WAS ON. I charted at first, but then backed off and we just "tried" however it wasn't in the forefront for a little while due to my FM diagnosis/treatments... but we continued to try. We had gotten pregnant in June'09 found out in July. I think TTCAL became much more stressful and obsession after the first loss this summer for me. Dh too, but not as direct... he didn't deal well the first losses and this one I think it's a little harder since he saw much more internally than before.
So for now I'm undecided as to when I would want to start trying again. Was dead set against it at all for a long time because it is so painful, but right now I'd like to get thru this and get some testing done. In the mean time here I will be... I think if anything we will fit in the NTNP, but more NT.

Okay I'm adding all of our groups names here that we have so far as of 02/09/2010

Celena
Brandi
Jessica
Lisa
Krystal
Kat
Chantel
Nicole
Ma2B2010
Colleen
Katie
Jenna
Nayomi

ladies!

I'm Krystle 27, DH is 27 as well. We've been together for, gosh, closing in on 9 years now, married for 2. We live near Cleveland, OH. We had our first pregnancy and first loss late last year, so starting this month we will be NTNP. It seems too stressful to actually chart things and whatnot, so we are going to go with the flow for a while.

I'm Lisa (25) and DH is Matt (28).
We have been together for a total of 8 1/2 years, married for 3 1/2 years. We currently live in Southern Illinois. Not by Chicago! LOL We had our loss on 12/16/2009 at 15w4d due to a partial molar pregnancy. I am having to go in for weekly blood draws and just got my first shot of Methotrexate on Wednesday. I am very nervous about the injections. I am hoping to only need one injection but it all depends on what my hcg level. Not sure if Dr. will have me get them until I reach neg. or just get a big drop. Dr. doesn't want us to get pg for 3 months b/c I had a molar pg. There is a chance the mole/tissue can grow back or possibly be cancerous. He mentioned taking bc but I HATE bc. I had problems with it before which is why I have been off of it for 4 years. I would like to start trying right now but obviously can't b/c my hcg is still showing I am pg. I guess we will be in the NT phase right now. Although I think we are only going to use the pull out method so who knows what will happen.

I'm Jessica and I'm 36. My dh is Pat and he's 45. We've been together for about 4 1/2 years now and have been married since May. We live in northern Indiana near Notre Dame. I have two kids from my first marriage who are 9 years old and 7 1/2 years old.

When we were engaged we found a huge, gorgeous home that was foreclosing in the area I wanted to be in. It was dirty, grimy, and disgusting, but had beautiful bones and intact mechanicals. We decided to go for it despite both of us already owning a home. We got such a great deal! It took us three months to whip it into shape... 28 gallons paint, two gallons of bleach, 2500 sq ft of carpet, and new appliances, and we have a "new" home with over $70,000 in equity now. LOL

We got married once the house was finished and moved in on our wedding night. We had his house on the market and ended up selling it last August. I missed a period in September right after we got my house on the market. Missing a period totally caught me off guard because we were NOT trying. Sure enough I was pregnant. We were floored! My dh was excited and the idea of having a baby of his own started really making him happy. Sadly enough we went in for our 12 week u/s and the baby only measured 10 weeks and there was no h/b. It was devastating. I still don't understand it because we weren't even trying. Not only did we have to adjust to the idea of a baby, but then had to adjust to the idea of losing one. It was the hardest thing to go through.

After the loss we decided to try. We were down to two mortgages from three so why not?~ LOL I got pregnant after my first period post-D&C and it ended up a chemical at almost 6 weeks. What are the odds... We tried for one more cycle, this last month, and AF just found me with a vengeance.

Now we're officially not trying. We're taking a break until at least June. I sad and mad and over it but then there's also this nagging voice in my head that says it's cheaper with only two kids... Who knows...

I guess that means we're officially "on hold".

Hi all - I am Kat (35 this month) and DH is 39. We have been together for almost 15 years, married for 13 of those. This is our first.

We didn't even want to have children until about a year and a half ago. I was on Depo Provera shot, so we decided my last shot would be Oct. 08, which would cover us until Jan. 09. We knew it would probably take a year for my cycles to regulate and probably another year to get pregnant. I was lucky and got my first AF in May, missed June and had my second AF in July - and got pregnant in July! My 9 week u/s showed 7 weeks and no hb, so I had a d&c. Dr. said first AF I could start trying again. Still waiting on AF - I would go through my cycles - ovulate, cramp etc., but no AF. Hysteroscopy cleared blockage of my cervix on 1-22 and I had AF. I am on estrogen for 30 days to prime the uterus and then 2 weeks of progesterone if AF doesn't start on her own and then I am back on the baby bus!

I also had a recurrent loss panel done because I have Celiac and Hashimoto and my Endo wanted me tested for clotting disorders. The results are back and I will get them from her on 2-16.

And that is my novel!

I'm Nicole, age 26, DH is Chris, age 32. We've been together almost 4 years now, married last May. We started trying right when we got married, got pregnant in July, but unfortunately I had a missed miscarriage discovered at just past 12 weeks (after seeing the heartbeat at 7 weeks). I had a D&C, then we waited one cycle to start trying again (unfortunately that ended up being 11 weeks!). My cycles are still not back to normal (last one was 50 days, and I am on CD 20 right now with no sign of ovulation).

We're going to be NTNP for a while because my younger sister just had a stroke last month and I am going to go back home for a couple months to be with her while she starts rehab. We also just found out that she has some autoantibodies (thyroid) and a clotting disorder, so I need to get some testing done and talk to both a RE and a hematologist, since both of those can be hereditary and contribute to miscarriage. It's really discouraging to be on hold right now, especially now with reason to think I may be at risk of recurrent miscarriage, but it's good to have a group of other people in the same place to talk with.

I'd love to share my name but I am a bit paranoid of family or friends finding this forum. I know, I'm silly.

I'm 29 years old and my dh is 31, and we currently live in NJ. We were married in August 2009 and we decided to not try to conceive, but at the same time, I would get off BCP and not prevent. I got my first BFP in November, but found out that it was not a viable pregnancy during my 8 wk ultrasound. I had a d&c a week afterwards. I've gotten through my first cycle, and I've broken down and purchased an OPT! I'm cautiously hoping for a BFP end of February!

we were ttc on and off for about 7 months, but the first month i REALLY started charting we got our BFP. we were blissful for 8.5 weeks when an u/s showed no fetal heart beat . i miscarried naturally and am ready to try again.

Right now, I'm getting back into walking, speed walking, jogging... figured I would try to get back into working out and feeling better.

Also have a butt ton of organizing and cleaning to do, anyone wanna help me? We just signed our lease for another year in this apartment... blech! Or shall I say BLEACH!

Maybe we can create some sort of game, book/coffee club etc...

Oh yeah, I'm going to drink lots of highly caffienated drinks too

I am doing intense speedwork and training to run my fastest half marathon to date! Soccer season starts this weekend, so I have that to keep me going, too. I think I will go through total withdrawal when I get pregnant.

I am keeping myself decaffed because it was a pain weaning off and I don't really miss it.

Oh Kat I commend you on decaffing! WOOT WOOT WOOT!!!

I love my caffiene, but unfortunately it takes allot to have any effect on me with the FM & meds I'm on, so I just humor myself with a cup or two of coffee at home on these cold days. (altho I LOVE starbucks quad venti mocha, those are dangerous)

Hahaha Colleen!

Good attitude ladies

How about y'all? Any good ideas?

Celena - that is interesting about caffine not impacting you. When the Celiac was at it's worst before I was dxed - caffine had no effect on me. I could drink a venti starbucks and go to bed. In my case, I didn't absorb anything, so it didn't effect me.

So ladies - it is one week until I get my recurrent loss panel results. I am trying not to think about it, but oh it's driving me crazy - I just want to know!!

I am actually going to try and start working out a little. It will be 3 years ago on the 18th since I hurt my back at work. I am just now to the point where I think I can walk for about 10-15 min. without it hurting really bad. I also bought some workout thing for the wii. Can't remember the name of it. I haven't used it yet. I have just started to use my ab roller and boy does that hurt my back. I am just going to have to suck it up and get over it b/c I am tired of the drs. telling me it isn't bad enough to do surgery.

As far as me and caffeine. I haven't had any in a LONG TIME!!! I used to drink 1- 12oz. dr. pepper a day and I also had sweet tea (no telling how many cups) I still drank a lot of water though too. When I got pg. though the thought of that stuff made me sick to my stomach so I quit drinking it. I started drinking Sprite or 7up and have since.

What kind of game(s) could we do on here? I would say we could start a book club but I still need to read all my books I have at home And I don't think you ladies would like them. They are kids books. I bought them for my "future" classroom. I would like to read the books I put in my classroom library. Never really know if a book is appropriate or not til ya read it. Actually the more I talk about it maybe an adult book would be fun to read. LOL

I am sooo nervous! I have to get more blood drawn tomorrow to check my hcg. I know it isn't neg. but I am really hoping it dropped a bunch. My last level was 264. I don't want to have to get more injections.

Oh I forgot! Does anyone watch American Idol or The Bachelor?
