Hi everyone.

My name is Amanda. Mom to Reagan and Liam. I found out today baby #3 wasn't a sticky bean. My HPTs had been getting lighter so I wasn't surprised. My HCG in the ER was at a nonpregnant level (digis have gone to not pregnant, though FRERs are still faintly positive). I was wondering, how long after this should I expect bleeding?? I'm having no bleeding or cramps and I'm just ready for this cycle (it was our first TTC) to be over so we can move on. With such an early miscarriage, is it likely to need a D&C?

I'm not sure when we will start TTC again (depends on some bloodwork results on Monday, mostly progesterone from 11dpo, to see if that may have caused the M/C). I hope it's okay if I hang around here in the meantime and hopefully we'll be back to TTC soon.

Update 2/7: Well, I got my answer sooner than expected. I woke up to bright red bleeding. I'm relieved to be honest. I'm happy this cycle should be over soon. Thank you all for the support and answers to my questions.

Hi Amanda I had just popped over to the Oct DDC and noticed your post and first off wanted to offer hugs~ I was 7wks and 1 day when I started to bleed although I know my baby had passed a week before but my body didn't recognize it until that point. Some women do need a d&c even so early because their bodies just never recognize that something isn't right. I think that maybe since it was detected early enough that your doc will help monitor it and make sure that the right steps are taken whether it be letting you bleed naturally or a d&c.

Amanda I am so sorry for you loss... HUGS... Welcome to the board...

As for your questions... It sounds like your body is doing what it is supposed to.. So it sounds like you will NOT need a d/c.. Since your digi is negative, and lines are very light. So I woul think You will start bleeding with in two weeks at the most. With two of my losses (the third needed a d/c).. I started to bleed with in days of getting to 0.. But my Dr told me when I went in for bloodwork... it was under 15.. I should get AF with in 2 weeks.. but he would think sooner.. and it happened within days....

I am so sorry you are going through this.. It is so hard to go through this.... But Welcome... and we will try to get you through this leg of your journey.. TTCAL can be very different than just TTC... Your emotions and fears.. are going to be all over the place... Just remember we have been were you are.. and we understand what you are going through...

Oh, Amanda, I was so sad to see your name in here, hon! I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I don't remember how many weeks you were, but I was less than 5, so technically I guess a CP though I hate that term. My levels were "not pregnant" when I went into my doctor and it took me about 9 days to start spotting and start bleeding. My OB had said to call him if it didn't start within 2 weeks and he'd give me something to help it along. I hope your body heals quickly, and we're all here for you, OK, hon? I pray your sticky bean comes soon! Oh, and feel free to PM me anytime if you need anything, and we'd welcome you back at the TTC board as well. These ladies are wonderful here though, and have been my rock with TTCAL.

amanda, so very sorry you had to make your way here, but glad you found us. the ladies here are wonderful and so supportive! everyone here is rooting for you - no doubt about it!

i hope everything is going ok .... once i started to really bleed, it lasted about 10 days (spotting included) but i was 8.5 weeks along. it may well be much shorter for you.

i pray that your stay here is very short and sweet and you get your sticky healthy bfp very very soon!

I am so sorry for you loss. I am glad your bleeding started this morning. I had a loss 4 weeks ago, so I completely understand. We decided to jump right back in the TTC game. Good Luck on getting your next sticky bean!

Katie
