Okay ladies so I was thinking perhaps we could start a weekly movie review / recommendation thread!

This is where you would name a movie or more that you have recently watched commenting on your recommendation of it (yay or nay, pass or go) along with genre, length, is it a rental or in the theatre, etc.... this way for anyone who's looking for a new movie to go to or rent, well here we go!

So Kary and I had gotten to talking about this, she recommended it be on THURSDAYS that way with most ladies (couples) weekends are free here's your chance to go by the reviewers recommendations!

OK I'm gonna start... We have "RENTED" A few from REDBOX.... (By the way to save on time... you can rent them online.. they reserve it, you pick it up)

OK: The WORST movie I have seen in a long Time.... World Greatest Dad..

This is the typical "Christmas Carol"... Cute a few funny parts....Not to bad... DH liked it.. it touched on Male things.. that were funny... I liked the "Chick Flick" Appeal!

In the Theater we saw Avatar!!!! AWESOME!!!! AWESOME!!!! Modern Day "Fern Gully"... JUST AWESOME!!!!!

KAry I have seen all of those except World's greatest dad.. Now I am curious about it, but if you said it is offensive on the M/c topic I probably won't bother cause that is the last thing I need right now.......

One of my favorites that I watch over and over and over again is Transformers 2 Return of the fallen.. That movie never gets old.

THE BEST movie I have recently watched is PRECIOUS....

You will need a box of tissues for this one, but it shows the strong will of us women! There is some sensitive subject matter, but I do not want to give anything away because it will just blow up the movie. General premis is a girl growing up rough working hard for an education... the young lady Gabourey "Gabby" Sidibe that plays the main character "PRECIOUS" is just a phenomenal actress!

I loved it, any movie that evokes as much and the range of emotion this movie gave me is a FIVE-STAR movie! Inspirational too!

DH & I are watching this movie AMERICAN CRIME and we're not half way thru it.......... it is PISSEN me off, but it is good. Based on a true story...

Sylvia and Jennie Fae Likens, the two daughters of traveling carnival workers are left for an extended stay at the Indianapolis (3850 E. New York St. is hardly suburban, nor was it in 1965, by any stretch of the imagination.) home of single mother Gertrude Baniszewski and her six children. Times are tough, and Gertrude's financial needs cause her to make this arrangement before realizing how the burden will push her unstable nature to a breaking point. ok i know i am way behind but i just saw TAKEN - and it was amazing

Liam Niessan is an ex CIA agent and his daughter disappears over seas. he is amazing in this movie! probably and oldie but a goodie at this point LOL!

just rented WHITE OUT with kate bechen-something. it was just so-so IMO. takes place in Antarctica which is at least a very different venue. she has to solve a murder down there.... it was ok, not great.

Taken IS a good movie!

I haven't seen the entirety of YEAR ONE yet, I love Jack Black tho... Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny always cracks me up. School of Rock is a cute movie and so is Nacho Libre.... Tropic Thunder is idotic humor but I love it!

Step Brothers & Pineapple Express ALWAYS makes me laugh no matter how depressed or crappy mood I'm in!
