i see ladies talk about what CD they are on after a m/c that havent had AF yet.... how can you know what CD you are on? at this point arent we completely out of the cycle and waiting on AF to begin the count?

if there is a hard fast rule about CDs after m/c and pre AF - please share! i would love to have some clue as to where i am at!

thanks ladies

I was told, from ladies on this board, that CD1 would be the day of your miscarriage (or when it started) or the day of a surgery, if that's what happened.

Good luck through your journey...

do you mean the day you start to spot, the day you start to bleed heavily or the day you pass the biggest "mass".....

The first day of bleeding. Spotting doesn't count as CD1.

I always used the day my levels went to zero, or day of surgery. Some ladies who m/c naturally will count the first day of heavy blood flow/or passing of the baby.....(some are so early they have nothing to pass, ie..chemical.) I hope this helps......

I didn't really count until after the fact, but when I back counted from my first post m/c AF, I was exactly 28 days after the day I passed the baby, not the first day of spotting which was 5 days earlier. My second AF was another 28 day cycle. I'm sure everyone is different, that is just my experience.

I counted from the day of my D&C with my first one and the second the first day of AF. Hope this helps. Sorry for your loss.
