Hello everyone.
first of all i wanted to say im so sorry for everyones losses.
i miscarried on tuesday (2/16) at 5.3wks, and while that bean was a total surprise to me and dh it was still very overwhelming and sad to lose it.
dh and i decided that we wanted to get pg again right away, is this possible? how soon will i ovulate again? i go for a beta on monday to see where my #s are at. As of monday (day before mc) i was at 39. So im praying its at 0 or close to 0.
is it safe to catch the first post mc egg?
sorry for so many questions, im still in a bit of a fog. im still bfing dd2 so will this mess me up even more (my cycle)?
thank you ladies. Again, im so terribly sorry for everyones losses.
-Kelly

Hi Kelly,
Sorry for your loss.
We are TTC again, it's only been 14 days since my D&C. If my body is ready then it's ready...if not it'll let me know. I've heard of people getting pregnant soon after a loss, almost immediately. Good luck
Joanne

Welcome Kelly. I'm sorry that you have to be here though
My OB said to wait 1 cycle before trying again, which we did. Some doctors will say to wait even longer. But, I really think it's up to the individual person & when they are ready and when they feel their body is ready to start trying again. I didn't really feel ready right away and was more comfortable waiting out a cycle, so that's what we did. I know people who have successfully gotten pregnant right after though without waiting a cycle. So it is possible.
Good luck hun!

Hi Kelly,
I am sorry for your loss. My OB mentioned that you have the potential to get PG right after a delivery or mc like up to 15 days. We decided that we did not want to start right away so we are still TTC and started Jan 2010. As Joanne said your body knows when it is ready and you will know too. GL on TTC!

Hi Kelly. I'm so sorry for your recent loss. Your situation is similar to mine - our last pg (lost at 4wks, 4days on 2/4) was a surprise as well. With four children all ready, just when we got over the shock ourselves and felt ok to share the news, we lost it and were devastated. I am no stranger to early m/c but this one left a bigger hole than any I remember so I wanted nothing more than to get pg again right away. We are not waiting for my next AF and are currently actively trying to catch the eggie if one plans on showing itself. I am not sure how a m/c messes up the cycles but when it's early, I don't think it changes much. I am counting the first day of bleeding from my m/c as CD1.
Things seem to be following suit perfectly - I am now CD16 and I'm pretty sure I'm ovulating today right on target. Sure feels like it.
So, if you don't want to wait, don't. If you were further along I might say wait a few cycles, but not before six weeks is my personal choice.
So sorry again and here's to quick BFPs!

Lets go BFPs!! We can do it!
so, when it is ok to resume intercourse again? (TMI) my CP is firm, closed, medium so i know its closed back up but im still spotting red. Do i HAVE to wait for all the spotting to stop? I just dont wanna be one of those gals that ends up Oing uber early and i miss it because im afraid to bd. hmmm..
glad im not the only one thats really wanting to try to get the first post-mc eggie. Im excited and i hope it works. The only unfortunate thing is that we are on a "time crunch". Like, i literally need to get pg by the end of March or else we are out of the game for at least 3 years since i start back up in the nursing program jan 2011. So i want to be due by mid december.. oh how i wish i could snap my fingers and just be pg. It took a while to concieve DS, and we figured it would take a long time to concieve DD2 but i got pg with her when DS was 8 months old. It was a pleasent surprise.. We had been NTNP since DD2 was born and it took 13 months for this last pregnancy. Im hoping it doesnt take long... but who knows. Mother nature can be tricky sometimes.
Well, sorry for the ramble. I really truely pray we all get out BFPs very soon. I dont know much about activelly TTC (ive always been a what happens, happens type of girl) so i may have a ton of questions along the way and hopefully yall can help me out with those..
*hugs*
Kelly

Good for you. Grab those fallopian tubes by the horns. I would say wait for the bleeding to completely stop including spotting. You don't want to introduce an infection into an otherwise all ready ticked off uterus. I waited until everything was completely clear which was about day 8. Just like with AF, an extra day after the last day just to make things clean and pretty for DH. You just never know when they wanna go down south if you know what I mean (sorry, TMI, LOL) and TTC should be both having fun, enjoying yourself, AND going for a baby. <wink>
As for your time crunch, that might hinder you... you can't put your body on a timetable and the stress of trying to hard might mess things up. I know I was extremely desperate to get pg with DH and my first child.. all the urgency caused a 2yr window of infertiity for me... as soon as I gave up, bam, bam, bam, three more kids easy as pie. Think of it this way - if you got pg tomorrow, you would still have a child through your nursing program. It will always be there, your window for children may not be. Put the baby first and the nursing program second.. I swear, it will work out no matter when you get pregnant. Gosh I know if I waited for the "right time" to have children, I'd still be waiting. But, here's to catching that egg before March if that's what you absolutely have to have! Just my two cents...
The only actively TTC experience didn't work so well for me, and I like being in the whatever happens, happens spot. Hang on to that!

first off, i am so very sorry for you loss. it sucks and i am sorry you had to go thru something like that.
but... welcome to the board! we are all in the same boat and everyone is wonderful here
as for spotting and o'ing... it would be my GUESS that if you are still spotting your levels arent down to zero yet. i would go get an hpt and see what happens.
i have heard MANY stories about people conceiving right after a m/c. i decided to wait one cycle (still waiting on my first post m/c af to show up) and then we are going for it. i want to be able to be able to date my next pregnancy as i am 39 and will have to have all the screenings (all of which are very date sensitive) if i were younger, i wouldnt have waited!!
GL and i hope your stay here is a short and sweet one

lol. thx ladies.
and youre right. it WILL work out no matter what!! i shouldnt force it to happen by march. i just didnt want to take any more semesters off, but i guess i wouldnt have to. theres always summer break, winter break, etc.
lol i guess im stressed about school because its taken me 6 yrs to get thru a 2 yr program. hehe. And i still have another 2 or 3 yrs ahead of me.
You know what? i wont stress. Ill still chart (i was before just to know where i was in my cycles) but i wont obsess. Obsession is never a good thing, and i'd hate to delay things more than they already may be.
so thank you all for the info! good luck and baby dust to everyone!
