Gosh Kira, they're such beauties... Happy early birthday Anikin.... and in April Skye!!!! You'll have to post more pix I'd love to see them!
I totally fell in love with this little black cap conure, they're semi-agressive and not big speakers... this little guy was "my" bird and I even taught him to talk until this lady bought him. He BIT the ***** out of her too when she kept trying to take him from me, he did not want to go to her. I had to go hid because I was crying so bad.
I used to be afraid of large bird or domesticated birds in general until I started handling them... this cockatoo Baby broke me of my fears when I was in my early 20's. (was bit by rooster in my grandmother's chicken coop, evil bird... he was why I was pnoid)

I've always loved birds, since I was a young girl. I'm not afraid of large birds. I want a greenwing macaw some day. Ringnecks are the biggest I've had so far. I've interacted with the larger parrots many times.
That's why I wouldn't be able to own/manage/work at a pet store because I'd fall in love with every animal we brought in. I want to open a small-scale parrot rescue one day, so I wouldn't have to give up anyone, except to the very best of homes. At pet stores, you can't be picky. I find myself even getting on the customer's cases for buying gold fish bowls and gold fish. I point them toward better tanks and better fish for those tanks. They walk away educated and the pet store made a sensible sale. Everybody wins.
You must be talking about a black capped caique. They're very cute and yes, they are known for being beaky. It's not so much out of aggression as it is more just them exploring their world. They just like to use their beaks more than any other species for conveying their feelings and checking things out.

Ringnecks can be the same way.
I was attacked by a goose when I was 5. I had a bruise the size of my hand on my butt. I got revenge. After running in screaming and crying, I came back out with a baseball bat and smacked the goose in the head. He never came after me again.
