It has gotten DARKER :-/ DH & are so confused.
Have to call the DR's office tomorrow and see if they can test betas/ scan for retained tissue. That's the only thing I can think of really, there couldn't be any possible way it is a new pregnancy unless it was a FUHREEK of nature anomoly. And before you ask, yes we've romped... haven't logged is each time on chart so I have no clue of exact days except a few random ones I can remember.
So I originally thought and even told Kary yesterday that my last beta draw was nearly 2 weeks ago and they were 2000, they figured it would be zero soon. Then I had started bleeding and with everything I passed even I figured I would have hit ZERO! HOWEVER, Ok, I just looked back between my chart and siggy saves, my last bloodwork was 02/03-02/04 one of those days was a draw then the next results I believe...3500+. I could have sworn I had another after that where it had gone down to 2000, but I must be mistaken because I cannot find that info anywhere! Perhaps because the betas dropped nearly 2000 and that's what I was thinking???
Anywho... so it has been 3 weeks and I had 10 days of bleeding / loss / spotting, 2 day break, spotting again and yesterday darker + hpt.
Ok got the pic uploaded from phone & resized it... test left / control right
Sound like retained tissue growing to you? Freak anomolytical pg? Or what?
.

I'm sorry you're in such a confusing situation, Celena. I wouldn't necessarily assume that because the hpt looks darker the beta is actually higher- you could have just had more concentrated urine or a test with more dye or something.
I also wouldn't think it would be totally impossible for it to be a new pregnancy. How likely that is, I don't know... but you said in a different post that happened to you once before right?
After my m/c and D&C, my beta took 11 weeks to get back to baseline. It took over 8 weeks for my hpts to show BFN. During that time I had an u/s that showed no retained tissue- they just said some people take longer. My levels did eventually drop and I got AF.
I hope you don't have to deal with any retained tissue or anything more complicated than a slow dropping beta!

I don't know at all what could be going on I just wanted to pop on to tell you how sorry I am that this is such a roller coaster for you. Even though it could be a long shot, I'll sit here and cross my fingers that this is the beginning of something good. I'm so sorry Celena...

Thank you both Jessica & Nicole!
I should have added that I had taken tests before this one they had been much lighter. Much much ligher than control line... said that too about different test batches, different concentration of dyes etc. With previous losses they continued to get lighter until negative. I hadn't had much intrest in testing again until Lisa asked, so I became curious.
Best bet is to at least get bloodwork done, calling tomorrow am and go from there.
No pain, no fever or signs of infection... am keeping an eye or paying attention to that.
The spotting is oldish looking colorwise, not bright red.

hugs and prayers that they can explain what the heck is going on...

Missy, not exactly, over ther summer is what you're thinking about right?
We had natural loss in July, levels dropped then - hpt. Went for follow-up m/c beta check, next day nurse called levels had risen and while on phone took a hpt it popped up +. Dr had me come in, I begged for an u/s which they did right there... no retained tissue, tubes were clear and no reason for him to have treated me with methotrexate like he did. I got a 2nd opinion from the peri/high risk dr's and she confirmed new pg after doing labs, going over u/s's & all files from old ob. Sound sort of similar tho, but not the same.
I just can't see that I'd be pg again. Not right now.
Colleen, thanks again!
Y'all have been great support I appreciate you!

Sorry I brought it up about testing. You prob. do need to go in and get bloodwork done though. Esp. since it has been a couple weeks. I know exactly how you feel though b/c my dr. told me I was neg. on 1/19. I ended up taking a hpt on 1/25 and it was positive. Now they can't find it in my chart that I was ever neg. It sucks not knowing. I actually just took another test tonight and it is still positive! I was really hoping it would be neg. after my D&C. Guess it is still going to take a little while.
Are you going to call the dr. tomorrow?

Celena hun I am sorry that you are going through this long drawn out emotional rollercoaster. I remember my last miscarriage that was a suspected eptopic was long and drawn out.. It took forever for my numbers to hit zero and I spotted and bleed for a whole month.. It was pure craziness... I can just offer you a great big hug, and I hope your DR listens to you tomorrow and gives you want you would like so that you are at ease.. Hang inthere hun.. I am praying for ya..

Kary you're definitely right, do need to get them to do another u/s it won't hurt to see if there's something hanging around in there that shouldn't be. If it were a stranger thing, it'd be too early to see anything wouldn't it?
Remember when I said I thought it was 6 days & 10 days before since last hpt's? The weeks have gone by fast because I thought it was 6 days and then 10 days before that I had last tested, it was actually on feb 3rd & 7th the last times I tested when they were much lighter. Lost a whole week in there somewhere?!
Lisa don't worry about it, it wasn't a bad thing just sparked my curiosity. So no worries there! However I'm sorry that hpt turned out +, was it any lighter? Altho your surgery was just friday so maybe too soon to zero out?
Lindsey I have been thinking about your loss when they said it was ectopic and how it took a while, also racked my brain to see if you had times where your hpt's got lighter and darker... you have been thru so much and I remember how you were wondering if when you'd start a new cycle afterwards.
Chantel thank you for your kind thoughts!
Kira luv ya too, thank you! The peri should be able to figure it out, at least I hope so. I still have appt scheduled for 3-3, but it wouldn't hurt to get in there tomorrow or sometime next week first to check this out.

Celena..HUGS!!! You've been through so much already. What an emotional rollercoaster. I don't know what to say about the test getting darker. I guess it could be retained tissue. Please make sure to get an u/s before you do anything else. I am praying that it is a miracle and not retained tissues! But most of all I'm hoping that you get some answers and resolution quickly, so you can move on. HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you call the dr? My line was the same as it was about 2 or 3 weeks ago when I last tested.

Hey ladies thanks so much for your ideas, support, advice & comments!!!
Ok, yesterday I did get to Dr's office and saw the FNP. She had my beta's drawn & urine culture saying I might have a UTI again. (told her about an odd odor from my urine, I cannot describe it) So the culture won't come back until wed/thurs.
Had told her about the hpt getting darker after it had already started getting lighter. She said even tho it's not scientific, she understands the need to know and to keep sanity so she didn't blame me! However she said previous numbers were ok, but she'd like to see what they were doing rising or dropping then decide what to do from there.
We talked about the fibro, but the lupus-like symptoms (rash on face, hair loss, low grade fevers, chest pain, etc) and said to make sure to tell Dr.D about that on appt March 3rd so that she can add some other bloodwork for that also to check for some things. She didn't go into it in great detail, but that her wheels were turning about my losses and that. It's worth a check right?
The head RN called this am and said the numbers were below 400! So that is relieving news to hear! Doesn't explain the tests getting lighter than blaring dark, but what can I do... I do have the appt next week thurs and they're drawing another beta then along with a slew of other stuff (clotting disorders and I cannot remember exact names of the rest???) Which I will definitely mention the lightening tests then getting darker... so maybe by next week thursday I'll have zeroed out?? I'll get the beta results on friday.
Thanks ladies again!!!

Celena, I'm so glad that you don't have to worry about retained tissue or anything else complicated. Hopefully at your appointment next week, your beta will be negative or close to it!
