My first AF was really light at first for a day or two, then really heavy, then stopped suddenly almost like someone turned the faucet off. Very odd. It wasn't the heaviest I've ever had (didn't land me in the ER! lol) but it was definitely heavier than many in the recent past.

My AF was heavy for the first 3 days, then additional 6 days of medium. o, yes, I'd say AF was pretty heavy after m/c!

It took me almost 6 months and a hysteroscopy to start AF, so I am not the best person to compare, but when it did come, it was heavier than I am used to with some clots. I attribute mine to having 4 cycles and not being able to bleed due to a blocked cervix.
I have heard a lot of women say that the first one can be really rough, especially if you m/c naturally.
I hope it gets better soon.
Kat.

Definitely different... dr told me to expect more bleeding, stronger cramps & more clots as uterus is trying to "clean house"
It was a long first cycle waiting to get AF, think it was a week longer than normal and I'm trying to remember the AF itself... pretty sure it was heavier.

Yes, my next few AFs after m/c tend to be heavier... and slightly longer (7 days as opposed to 5)... I hope she's not too nasty.

Well this sounds daft but I'm not sure I've had mine yet. I think I got my period this weekend. It was petty much the same as my other periods.

After my first m/c... very early (chemical) just a little heavier with slight cramps. The second m/c was an d/c... it took 35 days for AF to show.. heavier (even after a d/c..... ) and much more cramping.... after my third loss..... It was a natural.. I had a very heavy flow.. with cloting and very bad cramps..... So each one was so very different.
