My father was using a table saw yesterday and partially amputated his thumb and 2 fingers. He is home now and they think they saved it all. Now we just have to pray he does not get an infection. So I'm going to be super busy!

Katie - take care of him. My little bro did something similiar with a circular saw. He has about 90% usage of the finger now.

That is awful. My dh was at a woodworking school. Can't think of the thing they use to push the board along to help protect your hands from slipping but it broke on him and he cut his finger. Luckily though it didn't amputate it. He has basically recovered 100% from it though. I really hope that is the case with your father. I will pray that he heals quickly.
