Backstory: I had surgery on Jan 27 to remove a cyst from my left ovary. Everything came back fine from the cyst. It was an endometrioma.

Today apparently I am O'ing from that side. I am in such bad pain right now I want to cry. (It takes A LOT of pain to make me want to cry) I don't know what to do. It started around 5pm and the pain was dull. Bearable to me at that point. Now it hurts to sit, stand, laugh, cry, walk. It comes and goes and literally feels like a knife is being pushed into me. I don't know what to do.

Did your doctor warn you that this was expected after your surgery, or is the extreme pain a surprise? If it's a surprise, I would call the urgent care or the doctor's pager or even go to the ER to see if it's an indication that something's wrong. Hopefully it's nothing too bad and goes away quickly. Fingers crossed for a quick ovulation.

Thanks Nic. I called the Dr and she recommended waiting it out or going to the ER. Great help she was. Anyway, right now I'm waiting it out. I was so ready to DTD with DH tonight too but that's not going to happen now.

I am inexperienced as far as cysts go, but I'm not a big fan of pain either - if you have insurance that will cover it and have the time and patience for the ER, why not? Hope you feel better soon!

That is how I felt when I had a cyst but you just said you had yours removed. Are you still having pain?

The pain went away. Finally at around 1am. I slept like crap though and really cranky today. If this is going to happen every time I ovulate, I may never get pregnant.

Thank you all for your concern. I'm feeling better today and will definitely be asking my Dr. about this.
