So I ended up having to take my 2 children plus my sister child. That was fun. They were fighting the whole appointment. I was so stressed out and could not even hardly hear what the Dr was saying. Ugggghh Thank God he has 4 kids and understood.

Anyhow he does not think I o'ed from looking at my chart. He said if I did I would start on cd 32 which would be 14 days later. If that didnt happen I probably did not o.

So he said if I did not get pregnant in 3 more mths to fax him all my charts and he would bring me in to talk about what to do.

He said that my cyst could be causing me not to o. He said I could go on birth control pills to see if it would go away or we could do nothing and see what happens. I really do not want BC pills. That will delay us. At the same time I want to get pregnant whatever way is quickest and if that means going on BC to get rid of the cyst so I can have regular ovulation then that would be what I need to do. I just dont know if it will go away on its own or not. He will u/s it again in 3mths but I dont want to be wasting time either by not getting on the BC.
So not real sure what to do. What would you guys do?

I would wait the 3 months, to see what happens. If your doctor still advises you to go on BC I would suggest it. I dont like BC myself, but whatever gives you your bfp fastest

I dont really like them either. Last time they made me sick but they are suppose to have a low dose one now.
So what if I am not o ing and then I wait for 3mths and the cyst is still there but then have to waist another 3 by starting the BC pills? Oh God that would be 6mths. Ugggghhh

I just want to do whichever is faster but who knows for sure which way that will be.

My doctor was telling me about a test they can do to see if you are ovulating..... I can't remember what it is called but I will do some research and get back to you. Sorry you are having to go through this.

FSH test I believe... follicle stimulating hormone around CD3 or something??? Actually this tests for ovarian reserve.

I *think* not 110% because I think there's different things they can test for to see where your hormones are at as far as imbalances.

Brandi, you might want to try OPK's and/or a fertility monitor... but here's a link to a website that has some decent information on it.

There is also the 7 dpo progesterone test. So you would go in 7 days after you think you might have O'd, and if you're progesterone is over a certain number (maybe 15?) that indicates you O'd.

I think if I were in your situation I would be inclined not to wait the 3 months, to figure out on this cycle if I was O'ing, and if not, do whatever needed be done to start O'ing regularly. But everyone is different, and whatever you're leaning toward is the right choice for you. Good luck with everything!

I would suggest getting the clearblue easy fertility monitor. I have it and love it. It will tell you when you're about to ovulate and when you do ovulate. I got my bfp the 2nd month using it (m/c early though). DH got ours on ebay. GL!!!!

Brandi... this is personal choice... and not an easy one.. Some things you need to put in perspective.. It is said you are more fertile after b/c pills. If you don't go on the B/c pills... and you do have cycts... how long are you willing to wait to maybe go on the B/C pills.. when you can go on them now.. hopefully get rid ot the cycts.. and get that BFP. (But than again... no guarentee that you will get a quick BFP).... You really have to sit down and write down pros and cons... like you said you got sick on b/c.... is that something you are willing to go through? Not an easy choice to make.. GOOD LUCK HUGS!!!
