I need to vent (Non-pregnancy related)

My job is ridiculous! Yesterday I called out because the night before I was up and in the bathroom puking and well "the other end." So I call out saying that Im sick. The night supervisor yells at me and tells me Im expected in work. I call hr and left a message. I did not go in. Shes pissed but whatever, the worst they can do is fire me... Then pay me off in the settlement after I sue them!

Now today, I have 16 inches of snow stopping me from comming to work... I also have a 40 min commute... So seriously theres no way I can go in right now.. My roads arent plowed. So now theyre mad at me for not comming in again. 1. Im still pretty **** sick, 2. ITS A FRIGGIN BLIZZARD OUT! What do they want me to do, raise snow dogs and sled my way there? This isnt Alaska! I told them as soon as the roads were plowed then I would be in... They asked me when that would be.. I said I had no clue.. Of course I have no clue, Im a CNA I dont own a plow, so I have no Idea. I hate calling out, I feel bad screwing over my co-workers. But what do they want me to do?!?!?!?!?!? Risk my life for an 8-hr shift at a nursing home..

I dont think so!

Grrrrr! Im so pissed off!

wow! that does suck. it is hard when you work for a facility that cant close due to weather.

i hope you are able to get in later and hopefully smooth some feathers.
